Strange lines in my Dunmer's face.

HELLO

My latest character got some strange (but badass) tree lines in its face. I really don't know what happened but they weren't there when I created the Dunmer. I don't have any Warpaint mods either.

I've had tons of chars in this game and it is the first time I notice some sort of this, so I decided to share it and see if anyone else has experienced this. Also, my Stormcloak/Imperial side quest is bloody broken so I wanted to start a new game with the same Dark elf but I want the lines and I still need to know what's doing the effect.

I don't think the load order of my mods is causing this effect, I do have some mods that modify the bodies and faces but none of them add some kind of warpaint + I want to stand out the fact that I haven't touched the Dawnguard questline nor I've turned into a vampire yet.

If this is a common and recognised effect in the vanilla game, and I just didn't know it, let me know please.

The 'lines' are pretty much specific to Black Marauders from the vanilla game(to my knowledge). I don't know much about what the mods you have add in terms of content, but there might be a mod that adds that somewhere in your racial choices. Try looking at some of the mod pages and see. :)

Hi, my mods are mostly armours, weapons. Just a few ones modify the textures for the races. I've played a lot of characters with the same mods installed, and the last mods i got were CoT and wet&cold, the dark elf already had the lines before I installed new mods.

That's why I'm urging you to check the mod pages individually being as it could be a lot of things. A small texture replacer, a mod with an actual plugin with some kind of racial edit that you're unaware of, faction edits that you're unaware of, a replacer or mod that wasn't uninstalled correctly/successfully... All of those things can quite easily give you the veins from the Marauders. Doesn't matter if most of your mods are weapons or not, the main focus is to identify where the veins are being added from and that gives us an idea on where to look to fix it.

Based on load orders alone (since it's not a warpaint, I'm going to assume it's probably a texture or some kind of generation addition), there's just not enough information to ascertain what the issue is. Best suggestion, go through the mod pages to see what content is added or through your load order and texture files to see what the culprit is as from this end, there's not a lot of information to go on other than Banditry since Marauders are technically bandits. Also, correction on my part; they're from the Blackblood Marauders.

If a mod page doesn't have a list on what they've added, check the pictures and comments. If nothing's there, then you'll have to go through your textures and load order.

Yes, I see now that it is definitely the same paints of the blackblood. I'll still need to find out what is causing the texture in the character though!

Thanks for your info!
