This is along process to learn. I am going to try my best to help you out here though.

Ok... here we go. I will go through the enitre process of creating a worldspace, then creating landscape. This might take a lot of posts to tell how to do the entire thing. Let's begin, shall we?

1. Click the button "World" at the top of the GECK. A dropdown box will appear.

2. Click the button "World Spaces" in the dropdown box. A new window will appear. (The image attached is he window that will appear)

3. Where the list of World Spaces are, right click and hit "New" to create the shell of a new worldspace. An Editor ID window will appear.

So, name your world whatever it is you want. Look for the next post with some more images and instructions :)

For this post, we will be edditing the attributes of the World. These steps are abit tricky, so follow along exactly and look at the images!

4. You will need to copy the attributes I have set to my dummy world space in the image attached.

Those settings create a simple, large world space for you to do whatever it is you want with. There wont be any landscape yet, however.

I have the attribute "Small World" checked. You can check it or not, depending on how you want your world to be (Small/Large)

The attributes I have circled in red are the ones that are most important, and that you should follow.

The only things that are easily changable due to how you want your world to appear is the name, of course. The water type, and the Climate.

I am going to wait for you to reply to continue with creating the world space, so I am clear that you understand what you have done here so far.

Thank you for the kudos

Back to the steps...

Once you have completed 1 - 4 in the above posts, your ready to start with landscaping. HURRRRAAYY!

LandScaping

1. Now that your world space attributes are set, let's open up the LandScape editor window. Click the world icon in the toolbar. This will open a new window with the names of the worldspaces. Select your, and press ok.

2. A new window will appear. You should see just a blue - black plane basicaly. That is your worldSpace. To start to create land, let's first start messing with the settings of how the land is going to be created. I have an image attached that shows the LandScape editor window. (The Wasteland landscape has been loaded in that image, so yours wont look like that)

There are two buttons that you need to know about.

1. Land Up

2. Land Down

Both are somply saying that the land either goes up or down when you left click to create land. Select Land Up if you want something to stand on, and not be swimming in water.

There are two adjustments that you need to know about.

1. The Size Controle

2. The Intensity Controle

The Size Controle

This handles the radious of land created. (Length)

The Intensity Controle

This handles how tall your land will be. (Hight)

Now, to give a perspective on things. Let's say you set the intensity to it's max (4000) and the Size to 400. Your land would come out to be maybe 5 miles high, and 200 yards wide. So, you can play around with those settings until you found a setting that works for you.

If you have any further questions, feel free to ask!

I have'nt heard of your error problem before man. The color indicating the landscape is rising is a light blue followed by orange then red then a greenish color then a bule and so on depending on how high you are making the land. Lowering color is indicated by a darker color. Dark - Blue and Black.
