LE Favourite Clutter/Misc Items

I'm creating a mod that allows you to 'Use' a misc item in you inventory like a switch to turn on a magical object's effect e.g. invisibility.

With 12 of these unique powers that can be used simultaneously, i'd ideally like to be able to favourite these misc items so that when i press them in the favourites menu or hit the associated hotkey, it 'Uses' the item just like it would equipping a sword for instance.

 

Any help either pointing me toward a mod that could do this or developing the code for myself would be much appreciated.
