Tactics:

ok this is how a fight against a large group of mobs with one or more elites would play...

1. Morrigan, wynne and I cast inferno, blizzard and tempest (respectively) whilst leliana does a scattershot and wolf and skeleton warrior start meleeing. Wynne throws a grease wich is ignited by inferno or a fireball if no blizzard morrigan may also cast death cloud

2. I crushing prison boss, wynne petrifies and morrigan curse of mortalities it. Leliana does own thing.

3. Morrigan casts sleep, I switch on blood Mage and chuck a blood wound and/or blood control on a elite or boss, wynne heals or shoots an arcane bolt

4. I realise I forgot virulent walking bomb and cast on a nearly dead mob for a sudden damage burst, all finish off enemies with arcane bolts, lightning, drain lifes and stonefists, one of us focused on boss

5. Celebrate another victory! Usually with almost full mana and health, rarely below 50% and no casulties for Any of us 6 party members

 

*heals, revives, group heals or poultices may be used during the fights course if something goes wrong (rarely)

Archer full first and second trees to get Arrow of Slaying and use without penalty thru heavy armors

rapid fire only from third tree

Templar full talents to use Holy Smite on mages and clustered enemies.

 

Tactics: scrapper

Archer/Bard/Ranger

 

Full set of Bard talents plus summon wolf from Ranger (set to summon wolf at beginning of every battle)

Archer full talents on second and third trees plus first talent on first tree to avoid interuption of firing while in combat.

DW first two talents on third tree for melee combat

 

Tactics: Archer with setting to use ranged weapons while attacked by ranged or magic attacks, switch to melee weapons when attacked by melee attacks

 

Morrigan

AW/Shapeshifter/Controller

 

Entropy talents full on second and third trees, Primal ice talents through cone of cold, first healing talent

Full Shapeshifter talents autmatic when I get her, plus add first two talents of AW

 

Tactics: controller with auto combat magic activation (she tends to get close to enemies, so also armed with sword/sheild to go with AW)

Tank/Templar/Champion or Beserker

 

Full set of sword/sheild talents

Full set Templar talents

Full set of either Champion or Beserker talents (depending on my main character which can vary from playthroughs)

 

Tactics: defender
