Evangelion_2014
It wood be a great mod though, transforming into another thing other than vampires(werewolves, extraplanar beings etc..)
CJD
It wood be a great mod though, transforming into another thing other than vampires(werewolves, extraplanar beings etc..) Yeah it would be awsome and when u get killed u could turn into a ghost. U kno what modders should do. make the creatures in the game playable races. just imagine running thru the Imperial City as a Land Dreugh or an ogre. u could make new factions with goblins. the possibilities are virtually endless :D :P  ;D
sleaaels
Hmmm I'm more simple to please, just a werewolves mod would be enough for me, the rest would be the cherry on the top. I was half hoping that oblivion included werewolves before it came out.
Evangelion_2014
In morrowind it would be pretty interesting to turn into a corpus beast or god forbid... a cliff racer!

Vagrant0
I think you're forgetting the big important thing. NPCs and Creatures are too different. Even in bloodmoon when werewolf was possible it wasn't a change into a creature, it was just a furry suit that an NPC wore. The reasoning for this was simple. Creatures each have their own specific shape and size, most of them have more animation points than NPCs, several of them don't have swimming, attacking, or magic animations. Trying to change an NPC directly into a creature would just be too complicated and buggy of a process. Look at the wabbajack effect. It doesn't actually transform, all it does is despawn the actor and spawn a creature with similar stats. However, since the player can only control a single entity (the player) the same effect would probably cause the game to crash. I would imagine that the reason why Beth went with this method of changing an NPC was because any other way would be simply too complicated. Different engine, different programming, different physics set. Beast races don't have extra points, they simply have the location of their tail part in a different spot. This is how they can use the exact same animations as everyone else. In morrowind, they had entirely different animations. At any rate... This is currently well beyond current capabilities of any modder. The only way this would be possible would be through some expansion that allowed the change.
