Roxdad
First I am running Vista 32-bit. Every time I try to log in to the site to download the content I purchased, I get a message telling me that I am not connected to the internet. Strange since I am on a cable modem, and I am always connected to the internet. I did check the troubleshooting posts on the companies sites and both referred to an issue with port assignment. I did exactly what they said would fix the issue, but it did not work. I have attempted to get this fix in several times before reaching out to the forums for help. Unless I can get the game to see my internet connection, I am going to have to see that exclamation mark over the head of that dude in camp forever. Thanks in advance for any help offered. DarkeWolf
Just because your computer system is connected to the net doesnt mean that the programs on the system are connected, logged in, and transmitting/receiving. ;) When you try to do the download, is it windows that tells you that you're not connected, or is it the game that is telling you that you arent? Port assignment. not enough info here, we can't tell what it is you were trying, without seeing the reference material, but from the sounds of it, it sounds like making sure that firewall is accepting data thru the ports that DA uses to phone home. Are you by any chance on a school or company network? If so, perhaps the campus or company has a proxy in place or security device that is blocking it? Did you create an account at the bioware site, to enable the game to log in? Are you sure there isnt any other software on your system that could be blocking the game from dialing out? Such as firewall, antivirus or malware program? Do you have the game SET to be able to dial out? You can check the options menu for the game, but the best way to check is to go to your documents/bioware/dragon age/settings folder and open your dragonage.ini file in notepad. check to see if it matches this- [OnlineOptions]NucleusOnlineLoginAuthenticationToken=(UNASSIGNED)EnableOnlineAutoLogin=1EnableOneTimeOnlineAutoLogin=0EnableOnlineFeatures=1EnableOnlineTelemetry=1EnableOnlineStats=1AutoDownloadOffers=1InstallPromptInGame=1AutoDownloadOldEntitlements=0 Also- now granted, this is a permanent solution, for this particular character, but if you want to get rid of Levi Dryden from the camp, there's a mod that can do that. http://social.bioware.com/project/1142/

It is the game that is telling me that I am not connected. I have checked all of the "system" related issues you addressed, however the ini file info is new. I will check that as soon as I finish thanking you for your help.
Roxdad
After checking ini file, I am about to give up on this whole mess. I paid only for one DLC, and it was not expensive enough to give a damn about the money lost. The Customer Service on the Bio-Ware site is severely lacking, I am sure that I won't get my money back... and I don't really want it. I just need to hear from a technical service person that has an idea that will work. I love the game, the problem I am having just trying to have the game connect to the web so that I can use ALL of the features I was expecting when I bought the game, make it hard to want to purchase any of the extension packs. Thanks for trying to assist me with this issue.(Game updated to 1.04 and is Retail copy)
