OOC: ok im starting a new rp story, this will not be a DnD style rp, there will be NO dungeon master, i dont spend large bouts of time on the computer, im more just 30 mins here and there so i cant really be there to move along the story all the time. i just ask a few things... NOTE: if there are non player characters, i will play them

1. dont do the impossible

2. try to stay focused on the story line

3. have fun

4. there will be no player killing, knocking out a player is fine but must be determined by the player themselves.(that means that if a nord attempts to knockout a khajjit then the khajjit player will have to admit knockout)

5. PLEASE BE REASONABLE, ALLOW YOUR CHARACTER TO BE BEATEN SOMETIMES

6. if you dont want to be beaten/knocked out, then run away.

ok guess i better set the story, hope some ppl find it interresting, had trouble coming up with an idea.

END OOC

It is a year after the neveraine has defeated the evil dagoth ur, and cured the land of blight, yet lately the armigers have been having trouble pushing back the deadra and corprus beasts that have come spilling out of various caverns and dungeons inside red mountain, looking for bloodshed. Driven by lack of leadership they bash away at the ghostfence, weakening its protective shield.

Towns near red mountain have been evactuated, and now only sadrith moria, and balmora are inhabbited, with all houses pulling together against this threat.

The temple armigers have sent out notices and messages calling all mercenaries and fighters to help repell the red mountain menace. They've even provided direct silt strider service to ghostgate from balmora and sadrith moria.

OOC: sorry couldnt fit it all on that post.

The reward for helping the armigers repell the menace is great, they've promised each adventurer who survives an all-you-can-carry shot at the ghostgate vaults.

The story starts with you getting off the silt strider from balmora and heading towards the enlistment office to your right, inside the tower of dusk...

(I suppose I'll be using my charachter from the Introductions thread... The Stahlrim Axe and Redoran Banner Shield have been sacked in favor of two Ebony War Axes and an Orcish Crossbow.)

From the corner of his eye, Fire-Tongue saw an Orc sitting down and quietly singing a song about the Ninety-Nine Loves of Boethiah while shaprening his axe with a piece of Iron ore. The mer was wearing a full set of Gah-Julan bonemold, with a Redoran Master's Helm laying next to a pair of repair prongs near his seat. On his armor were three straps, one holding an Orcish Crossbow and fifty unenchanted Orcish Bolts, and another holding a newly sharpened Ebony War Axe, and a satchel containing a scroll of recall and a few homemade potions. The Knight looked up and greeted the newcomer while sliding his axe into the vacant strap hanging loosely atop his shoulder and around his chest and back...

"You're coming from Balmora, right? I'd recognize that Strider anywhere... Stuck a dart with Blask Spider venom on both her port legs from about fifty yards away. Name's Exile. Stuck around Ald-Ruhn after the evacuation with Garisa Llethri. We planned a couple of our own assaults back in First Seed, but our men turned tail and ran once they saw their first Ogrim...."

The Orc sighed, saying "The most experienced of that lot was an engineer from Vivec... He thought that the only way to root out a Daedra worshipper was through shaft mining... Had a mind to put some spider venom in his morning Mazte after that remark. Anyways..." Exile looked around, hoping that the Ordinators and Armingers of the Temple would remain busy with paperwork long enough for him to weave a suitable deception...

His voice lowered and he silently worked some sort of charm on the Argonian, saying "Now, both you and I know that this sort of operation is likely to attract certain... unsavory charachters. The Temple has imposed a screening process for almost everyone that isn't a model Temple-goer to assure that those unsavory charachters are not given a chance to strike. The process goes all the way to the Imperial City and takes weeks, sometimes months to accomplish. Now, as we are both reasonable men, I hope that we can both assume that such a strike will not happen, given that, frankly, security around here is tighter than a Kwama's ass. Many other people also realize this, and tensions are rising... Many people fear that there will be a conflict between the Temple Ordinators and Armingers and everyone that's being screened. Since we're both what the Temple would classify as an unsavory charachter, we'd probably both get a mace to the jaw once said conflict breaks out... And even if we do survive and pass through the Temple's process, these Armingers have absolutely no tactical sense... I overheard them talking about placing a farmer that wants to homestead right above the crater... I suppose you'd expect no less from a bunch of poetry-writing ninnies in light armor, but this is just idiotic. Now, Argonian... I've recieved a tip... The tip isn't coming from what I'd call a reliable source, but it's a tip nonetheless. I say that we head out of the tower and make camp, then get anyone who looks like they can hold their own to join our cause. So, what do you say? Do you want to hang around and get raped by an Ordinator because some Hlaalu thinks he can pull a fast one, or do you want to take matters into your own hands and take out the infection at its source? It's likely that the legion, or at least what's left of it, will be called to clean up this mess sooner or later, so why don't we do our own little raids and follow through on this little tip of mine?"

Luque stumbled down from the Silt Strider. A few feet ahead of him was a great tower, he looked up at it. He had never been here before, deep in the heart of the Ashlands.

He had grown up in Pelagiad, and was a guard in the armour shop there. He looked around, and the Silt Strider started to move back towards Balmora, where it was obviously to pick up another warrior.

He took in a deep breath, but the dust from the grim, heavy air choked him. He had never been in a place with such dirty air. He seperated his legs and stood firmly on the ground. He then raised his hands into the air and spun them in a circular motion. A protective shield formed around his body.

"At least now I can breath!" he thought, and he headed inside the tower. The door made a huge screeching noise as he entered, and everyone inside turned to look at him. On the far western side of the room was a desk. An Imperial stood behind it and Luque guessed that it was the Conscription Desk. He advanced on it, and before he could even get a word in to the Imperial he was asked some questions.

"Ok sir, I understand you are here for Conscription, and you are to fight with us against these evil beings?"

Luque nodded.

"Good," smirked the attendant, "Ok, please fill put this form, and then take a seat, relax, do whatever."

'Not a very formal sign-up' Luque thought to himself. But he carried on to sign the form:

Forename: Luque

Surname: -----

Race: Breton

Practice: Spellsword

Additional Information: I was born...

Luque filled in the form and gave it to the attendant, who smiled. He then turned around, what should he do from here?

It was then that he noticed a largely built orc beckoning him over from the corner, and he moved towards him, wondering what he wanted...

Fre Tngue listened to the orc , it did seem likely that there would be some sort of rebellion or conflict taking place here in the new future. But the tip was from an unreliable source, "Ohwhat the hell" thought fire tongue, maybe i'll get a chance to glean some precious minerals from the various mines there.

" I'll take you up on your offfer, orc, but let me tell you this, betray me and i'll turn your head around so you can see this spear sticking out of your back."

Fire Tongue donned a more relaxed, friendly pose, and asked "When do we leave?"

"My reputation preceeds me," the Orc said with a heavy laugh. "We'll probably set off tomorrow, after the two Sadrith Mora Striders come..." Exile noticed the Breton cautiously approaching him.

"Well, you look as if you can hold your own in a Dwemer ruin. Care to be our first recruit? We're going to do a couple of runs through some Dwemer ruins and try to take matters into our own hands before the cavalry comes..."

Luque smiled, "Sure thing, as long as the Argonian freshens up a bit, I can't stick the smell of dirty Arg"

It was then that a rumble shook the tower, everyone stood up from their places, wary of what was happening. The recruits grabbed their swords, all except for Luque, who put out his hands, and with a swift movement, made a huge shield around the tower.

"After my command, run out!"

Luque walked forwards to places... "Now!"

Exile hesitated, his eyes fixed on an old, abandoned Ashlander yurt on a hill South of the shrine. He called out for Fire-Tongue and Luque and made a dash for the yurt. However, as he looked back to check on Luque and Fire-Tongue, he noticed a number of Imperials fleeing the building in a mass, mostly East Empire officials and Legionnaires clad in Templar armor.

"I'll be damned," he muttered as he neared the gloomy, dilapidated tent... "I'll be damned."

Luque ran to Exile, "Come on, we have to defend ourselves!"

He then ran out of the tower, only to be greeted by about 200 necromancers, all summoning evil powers.

"This is gonna be fun!" he cried as he ran straight into the heart of the enemy, but he was knocked straight back. He fell, and as he looked up he saw a Bonewalker leaning over him.

"Oh crap" he gasped, and waited for the end...
