latuska90
Let's say that I would completely overhaul the character Moira Brown. Making it from a scratch to the current generation look with diffuse, normal, specular and gloss texture maps (and with any other texture maps that Gamebryo can offer for skin shading etc.). The character could be anyone though, so Moira was just an example... It could be even a companion with a couple of changeable clothing. I have professional skills to use ZBrush, Blender, Marvelous Designer, xNormal, Photoshop (Quixel Suite) and GIMP for creating 3D models and textures... but I don't have much technical skills to rig (maybe a bit of knowledge of rigging, though) or to use any modding tools for any Fallout game. Not to forget that how the character system works in general. I think Fallout 3 (and New Vegas) uses some morph system (just a guess) to create different looks of characters, but I'd like to create the one and only, unique Moira (or whoever else), of course keeping her original look and clothing in mind, using the default rig (or preferably creating the rig from a scratch too, but keeping the amount of bones, naming and hierarchy the same, or something like that. The position of the bones just depends on what kind of t-pose I end up with my characters), animation and dialogue. It's just that I'm becoming a professional character artist in the game industry, I really don't like to tinker with anything original in Fallout 3, such as modding existing meshes and textures to give "new" looks. I just want to create something totally new from a scratch, which would still work under the old technic in the Fallout 3's game engine. And of course, to entertain people using my character mods (if I'll ever be able to get to the actual MODDING part, lol). So, in short, currently I would like to mod/replace important characters only. Would be nice to learn some modding too... but hopefully someone sees the quality of my characters and would like to team up with me to actually get it into the game. Regardless, I could start the modeling soon whatever character inspires me, or you can suggest someone. This all just depends on if this kind of hardcore modding from a scratch is possible for this game or New Vegas.
