Mabrothrax Posted August 22, 2010 Share Posted August 22, 2010 Hi all! My first post is related to an enchanted stave I'm trying to create as part of a quest mod I'm working on. This is what I'm trying to do - I want a magic staff that in addition to normal enchanted effects (weakness to frost, magic etc) summons a ghost/wraith to attack the target. Now, at first I simply had a staff that has a script effect that on equip adds a summon wraith spell, this works all good and well but isn't what I'm after. I followed the custom creature summon tutorial on the CS wiki, tried adding it as a script effect to the staff but found that nothing happened. Futhermore, I considered that the Sanguine Rose does something similar to what I'm after. I tried copying the scripts for that, but failed again - the CS would save/recognise some of the terms in the Sanguine rose scripts. I need some major help with scripting this, assuming it's not impossible. whenever the staff is used, the basic enchanted spell effects should do there thing as per usual, the script would need to be quite clever, not only running the standard moveto stuff (checking for death and timer expiring), without getting messed up when the staff is being used over and over in combat (each strike would start the script over wouldn't it?).
