hackwalker
Looks like they have the same attack speed, is there any difference?
forli
Daggers ==> Short Sword ==> Sword ==> Long Sword ==> ClaymoreFrom daggers to claymores speed decrease and attack, reach and weight increase.
Kaliprax
Daggers swing faster than shortswords, they also do less damage, if comparing a dagger and a shortsword of the same material and condition. Daggers naturally, also have less range. However, the weight of a weapon generally determines how fast it swings - I once picked up an Akaviri Dai-Katana (the two-handed version of an Akaviri Katana), which swung as fast as its one-handed counterpart. This was because it weighed almost the same.
Megatarius
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't Katanas supposed to be really light? If you have Bloody Mess, short sword attacks will make blood appear on you faster than dagger attacks will. What? You don't have Bloody Mess? Shame.... http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11182
