Oblivion Everything Gigantically Modded (O.E.G.M.) - Introduction

 

O.E.G.M. is an overhaul for oblivion that changes everything and adds new things to everything. Generally new alchemy-magic gameplay and effect stuff, new weapons-armor-clutter-potions, new quests-monsters-cities(1 or 2) ect.

 

O.E.G.M. - Magic

- Ritual Magic

 

O.E.G.M. Ritual Magic will add a new way to cast spells. Ritual magic will be done on a static table, altar ect. The player is going to put necessary items in some containers and when the right items are put, the container's shape is going to change. For example when a player puts a spellbook (misc. item) in a book stand on the ritual table the book stand will have that book open on it. Or when a player puts several body parts such as severed arms or legs the altar will have them on it. With this the player will cast powerful spells. The spells will be summoning companions, armor, weapons, artifacts or making the player a vampire or curing the character from a vampire, curing lichcraft or becoming one, lycantropy's cure or becoming a werewolf or even the all-feared wish of a magician, immortality. Also there will be spells to create spells for the players spellbook.

 

O.E.G.M. - Magic

- Technical Alchemy

 

O.E.G.M. Technical alchemy will add new ways to be an alchemist. There will be new alchemical ways to create orbs that are actually rings but when the player wears them the orb will spin around the character buffing his/her stats. New apparatus will be added to enhance alchemy. Homonculi will be able to be created. Creating a homonculus will be hard but rewarding. To create one lots of items such as an elemental heart will be needed. The player will be able to sen the homonculus to landmarks or unsummon them and then summon them again. Resurrect them with a special skill. Give them special weapons and armor.

 

O.E.G.M. - Magic

- Battle Alchemy

 

O.E.G.M. Battle Alchemy will add transmuting weapons, creating static weapons (turrets or cannons), making gas-acid-explosive bombs using the environment. While the player is on stone he/she will be able to make rock cannons, stone spears, spiked knuckles ect. While he/she is in water he/she will be able to create water bombs/cannons, water weapons/armor ect. While on grass,sand generaly ground he/she will be able to make natural weapons/armor, gas-explosive bombs, dust-spike-explosive cannons ect.

- Battle Magic

 

O.E.G.M. Battle Magic will add new spells such as multi-element bolts, void beams, telecinetic hold, pyrokinesis, cyrokinesis, geokinesis ect. The player have a lot of new spell effects to use in battles.

- Technical Magic

 

O.E.G.M. Technical Magic will add spells such as out of body experiences (OBE), self paradise, arcane vault, teleport, summoning mounts, summoning devices ect. OBE spells will be needed to used near beds. When cast the character is supposed to sleep in 5 seconds. He/She will wake up in his/her dream (dreams are random) and a quest will be given. He/she will have to finish the quest before he/she wakes up or his/her dream turns in to a nightmare where the character is constantly attacked by monsters. If he/she can stay alive for 5 minutes (real life) he/she will wake up and the quest will be deleted. If he/she dies he/she wakes up in a tired state. If he/she finishes the quest in time he/she gets special items. Self paradise is a player house in another dimension. The player will chose from 4 types one evil character house (Oblivion-like), one good character like (flying castle), one insane character (shivering isles) and one natural character (giant treehouse). Arcane vault teleports the character in a magical vault. Teleport is like mark and recall but with teleporting animations and arriving animations. With summoning mounts the player will summon mounts such as horses, salamanders, sea-snakes, arachnas, nagas ect. Summoning devices will be spell making-enchanting altars, static alchemy station, ritual-stuff, repair hammer box ect.

my main idea putting an overhaul as a request was because i have a lot of ideas about the game but i dont want to put each one of them detailed and as individual posts. So i'm thinking of making 3 more parts and anybody can take ideas that they would like to make and make them. of course i would like t see all of them as an overhaul but for that i have to start making it and then other people would join me. But i have no idea how to mod or script so i'm just posting my ideas as inspiration thats all i can do before i learn how to mod.

Looks like a lotta work, just saying. But, I do really like the ritual magic idea. Although you see it in the game, you can never actually do any ritual type spells such as necromancers or the owner of Benirus manor had done. To keep it reasonable, I would suggest you work on one aspect at a time, overhauls are a big pain.

i like your idea. maybe if i or someone else do these mods one by one then we can join them together if we want to. I did know that making overhauls was hard. but you know if theywere in the game all at once with the other 3 parts (magic, combat, stealth, life) that would be great. Maybe if i learn some scripting and modding (i do think of ways doing the things on every aspect but i don't know how to) i can start doing it.
