Nerivant
I'm not even sure if this belongs here, but here goes nothing, no really... nothing... So far, I havn't been able to find a mod that makes damage more realistic, such as a shot to the heart or head. If I sneak up behind you and slice the back of your head open with a dagger, you are not going to get back up, draw your weapon, and cut me to ribbons. Same with the bow, I've hit people right between the eyes before, only to come charging at me wiht half health, that isn't right. This may be useless to those who like wearing full platemail and getting themselves coated in blood, but for a stealth oriented character like the ones I like to play as, it would make fighting a whole lot easier. If I don't find one soon, my F9 key is likely to shatter from abuse... I use it that much. I keep quick loading, trying another angle, thinking that I might be able to pull of two stealthed shots, or be able to slow them down by jumping up that ledge, only to find that the only solution is to leave the cave and try again later, just because anyone can survive an arrow to the heart or head. I get plenty of lucky shots like those in, only to be screwed. Rambling aside, does anyone know of a mod like this, or know one that is being created at the moment, or is even being considered by a modder? mezlo
To my knowledge there is no way to detect where a hit occurs, just the hit itself. Mez

Kinda explains how your boots can get damaged when people are clearly hitting your chest or shield. Given the fact that equipment has an actual physical shape in the world, you'd think it to be supportable. But I would imagine that Beth staff got lazy, and called it "close enough".
