a mod unnecessary violence. wants me to use another mod called pluggy. but i cant seem to get pluggy to work. i have it in the right folder as the right name and everything. can someone help or link me to help? thank you

Pluggy isn't a mod, it's a plugin for the oblivion script extender. First thing is to make sure you have the latest version of the OBSE downloaded and installed properly, then put pluggy and its components in the data/obse/plugins folder. (You may have to create this folder.)

After that, just run oblivion with the script extender.

That's very strange. I've had pluggy installed for a good long while now, and have used mods which list it as a requirement without incident. The only thing I can think of is that either pluggy or unnecessary violence must not be installed properly. What exactly is happening? Are you crashing? Getting bugs in game?

That would be my first guess.

Make sure that "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dlx" and "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll" make it into the ...Oblivion\Data\OBSE\Plugins

If it's still not working, it could perhaps be that your version of the OBSE is too old (must be v15 or newer for pluggy to run) or that Oblivion is not running with the most recent patch.

it says to change the name of the .dll file to "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy_HUD.dll" to use the hud function. do i HAVE to do that?

You're only supposed to do that if you're using a mod which requires it, I believe. I can't say for certain whether or not UV qualifies, because I don't use it. Give me a second to read UV's documentation.

Edit: Yes, it does use the HUD version. That's probably your problem right there.

i moded the name to that. ill see if it works

If you still have problems with pluggy after this (which I think you probably wont) please note that...

* Pluggy is only required for the FFP Crosshair (see below). If you are unable or unwilling to to use pluggy then you can either disable the FFP crosshair or disable FFP mode altogether in the INI.
