Altering Magic Damage

Hoping someone can help me here.

 

Basically I've modded my game to make everyone have less health and everything do more damage. The game plays much more like the cutscenes or trailers with red mobs now the equivalent of a party member scale wise. This makes my game very fast and very dangerous as my main character only has 52 HP at level 6. Combat is fast and brutal.

 

The way I modded damage was to increase the damage scale of the players characters and this has worked perfectly for all melee and archery damage (it now does double) but for some reason has left spell damage unaffected. Now I've found the table for modding spells and have altered cast times a great deal but the fact my spells do less damage than a sword blow makes my mages a little underpowered.

 

So anyone know how I can use a similar damage scale to improve on the damage done by my mages?

there should be a value as to how a spell is affected by spell power, you could change that, but an easier way would be to increase the spell power gain from magic stat. so instead of one magic = one spell power one magic would = 5 spell power. this would also make healing/defensive spells a lot more effective tho, and i don't think you want that. it would also make the small bonus spell power gains from items insignificant unless you changed each item individually.
