FO3 Mod Load Order

Well I recently returned to FO3 and of course I fired up the modding right away, been reading a lot, some over my head, it's a lot to try and understand quickly. But I have now turned to you fine gentlemen, my game seems to be running well, but a few issues are bugging me, one is my mouse. When I'm in VATS, Pipboy, Talking Menus, I have my mouse DPI set to the normal setting, but when I'm running around and aiming, I have to crank my mouse way up to 5600DPI or I turn like a snail. I'm lucky my mouse has on the fly DPI adjust, but if I'm running around and looting, or using VATS I have to constantly keep changing it. The other is game performance, I have quite a beasty comp with this setup

AMD Phenom II X6 @ 3.5Ghz

4GB DDR3 2000Mhz

2x ATI 5850's

And I play at 1920x1200

But performance seems to be lacking a bit. I have used 4Aces Texture pack (used this since it seems to be the only option that also ups the DLC's) otherwise haven't really gone crazy on better textures. So here's my mod load order, if you see something I should change, let me know, and if you know a better option for texture packs that also cover the DLC's, let me know, also I have been running this with the FO3 Ram Boost.

Check out the tweak guide; http://www.tweakguides.com/Fallout3_1.html

Long read but well worth it. I think you may have the 'mouse accel' bug but I thought that was fixed in 1.7 patch (you are patched up?)

Your load order looks good, but if I remember right Fellout is already in FOOK2 - so you should be able to get rid of that one as well as generator sounds.

I'll have to look through the tweak guide later today. I'll also check out FOOK and see, I moved my order around a bit and moved Fellout under FOOK2 as the Feelout ESP said it needed to be under FOOK. I found the mouse issue, I had originally set my mouse speed before starting the game again, and didn't realize that the mouse speed didn't effect menus, the pip boy, or vats, so when I had it turned down it just slowed down ingame, I cranked it back up and it's all good. Is generator sounds also in FOOK, cause I would really like to keep that for the atmosphere.

Also I need a new texture pack, 4Aces is old and it does seem to be causing performance issues. I know there are a lot of great options for FO3, but any recommendations on good texture packs for the DLCs?

**EDIT**

It seems there is no list of exactly what FOOK2 has in it, hhmmm wonder how to find out if Fellouts in, would rather not make a whole new character just to find out.

As far as textures go I would recommend NMC's Texture pack: http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12056

NMC has a couple of variants depending on how detailed you want your textures so it's a great mod.

Huge download but well worth it - there are a lot of added textures in FOOK2 but I believe they are lower res which isn't a bad thing.

This is a list of what was in FOOK2 v1.0: http://www.fookunity.com/resources/FOOK2v1.0_Readme_Final.html

Then you need to look at: http://www.fookunity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4212

To see what's been added.

I personally dropped Fellout and went with Dynamic Weather. Personal experience (and I have yet to be able to prove it 100%) is that weather mods increase CTD rate especially when fast travelling or moving in and out of buildings. I think it has to do with the scripting that is called to change the weather when you arrive or transit from one area or another. I don't think it's the mod's fault but the game engine. Still trying to figure out how to prove it though. Any ways I just found that using Dynamic Weather I get less CTD's and I get what I think if better weather (e.g. sandstorm, etc). http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10607

I know that streetlights are active in the wasteland and DC area when using FOOK2 and not other mods.

NMC only adds textures to the main game though, I'm gonna read through their list now and see what I can cut back on, I havent been getting any CTD's though.

**EDIT**

After reading, it does seem Fellout and Streetlights are now in FOOK2, so that signifigantly shortens up my Mod list, very nice. Now just to find Textures for DLC's.
