Deleted680094User
I had this problem with it stopping at 50% however i suggest you check your game and look in the bottom left corner (version number to see if it's updated anyway). Mine updated even after it said it had not and yes all mods do work however if this is not the case i will try to suggest some other solutions ;)

Deleted680094User
ok so if u try to run the installer now does it still say the same number? From my experience of the updater it is a little odd because i have found that even when it says it will not update it still does the update. So run the installer again and if it does change the version number you should be ok otherwise another solution will be needed.

davidx4
You guys getting to 50% are lucky... I'm stuck at 0% :P I clearly have a .OLD file in my Oblivion directory labeled "Oblivion.OLD." I assume that's the one the patch is looking for? Mine reads precisely 7,373kb. What about you guys? Maybe someone with a working install should upload theirs so we can download it and test it out cause everything else we're doing sure as hell aint working. Deleted680094User
I may have a solution (just a thought i had last night):I would try to install the oblivion patch first THEN install the Shivering Isles patchperhaps this is the way this was originally intended to work? Shadowfen
I may have a solution (just a thought i had last night):I would try to install the oblivion patch first THEN install the Shivering Isles patchperhaps this is the way this was originally intended to work? No. Don't do that. The two patches are not compatible! If you plan on installing Shivering Isles (SI), your procedure is: 1. Install Oblivion2. Install Shivering Isles.3. Install Shivering Isles Official Patch.4. Install anything else. If you don't plan on installing SI then your procedure is: 1. Install Oblivion2. Install Oblivion Official Patch3. Install anything that is not Shivering Isles If after this you want to install SI your procedure is: 1. Uninstall Oblivion2. Follow the first set of instructions above. Shadowfen
How many of you who are having the 50% install fail problem are running on win vista or win7 with oblivion installed in c:\Program Files or c:\Program Files (x86) and the UAC on? Have you tried running the installer as Admin?
