Gingernatar
Sorry if anyone else already had this idea, but I would like a mod that increases your weapon value as you slay important people/creatures. Like if you kill Alduin with a sword, that sword's value might go up 60%. The value might also go up as you do important things, such as free Skyrim from the Empire (or the reverse). Thoughts? MightyZ0G
I wouldn't know where to start but I love the idea of thisit would also be nice if you could name the weapon if it doesn't have an enchantment once it had reached a certain level of notoriety. Jayw21
I think the simplest way would be to add a sub-string under weapon crafting (The enhancement portion) Weapons gain Exp and could use a second (Or third, depending on skills) Enhancement bar except as you use it, gains stacks.Lvl 1 X = swings + y = value of soul = (x/y) + a set value = n N represents the number of stacks. At 100 Stacks said item levels up.N value is accumulated after a kill.Lvl 2 same thingAT level 5 only grand souls increase stack level (Need to use a vanilla component I think this is probably the best bet.)At level 9 only dragon souls increase stacks Cost of item is calculated by a set value of Level + Current N value, N value cost also increases with lvlSo at level 2, 50 stacks would be worth more then 50 stacks at level 1. Each level also opens up a new title for the weapon which can only be achieved at a certain temper rating. lvl 1 can be achieved with any weapon at any level and unlocks a title at the front of the weapon "My"lvl 2-3 requires fine and unlocks "Seasoned" and so on lvl 9-10 requires legendary unlocking "Mythical" etc etc, of course names could vary, just a suggestion. Meaning you stop receiving stacks if your weapon isn't at the appropriate temper rating At certain levels, npc recognize weapons but finding "appropriate" Vanilla comments might be a hassle, perhaps more than its worth. I doubt you'll find anything appropriate. This would require a java patcher as well to seek out all of your weapon's leveled list and apply the sub-string and a script that creates the substring. I have a general idea of HOW it could be done, but the practical knowledge of applying it sorry. I just hope to provide anyone who wishes to pick this up with a starting point. lol
Devalut
Good idea!Bathing your weapon in souls of fallen enemies that boosts it!Or maybe make it complete overhaul for durability & weapon/armor creation?- hitting hard stuff (shields, rocks, & doors) will have a negative effect- Killing lich's, hagravens, or misc magical creatures will give it either a small enchantment, or a small curse?Enchantments can be cultivated and improved at high level enchanters.-This is a rare thing for a enchantment to "appear" so cost is high and this is not an alternative for enchanting; BUT, it is a perk if you stick with a particular weapon/armor.Removing the enchantment is to simply go to a shrine and select remove enchantment/curse -maybe some curses will require a quest? (kill x here or acquire lost y there) - or even the curses could become double edged, if you take the easy way out by simple slapping some random magical gunk all over it? (taproot sap). -maybe enchantments also get a quest that significantly boost it (ex kill a dragon)
