fose/geck conflicts? in esp changes and saves?

I'll try to make sense of this. I wasn't having trouble changing weapons stats until I installed fose. Now when I try and even just change a weapons damage even saving it as an esp or a new model, geck does'nt actually save the changes but saves the esp. But when I exit geck and open the esp to edit it some more the stock settings are still showing and none of my changes are saved. Geck will ask me if I want to save my changes to plugin and all, but it does'nt actually save anything but an esp. Even in the game, if I select the esp before going into the game there is nothing different. Geck is saving dummy files, any idea's why this is happening?

See, last week before I had fose installed I was messin with the combat shotgun and the terrible shotgun, what I did was changed the conbat to shoot 20 projectiles at 20 hp to mimic 0 buck shot and the terrible shotgun 8 projectiles at 50 hp to mimic 000 buckshot and changed the force of each to match, geck let me save both as an ESP for each no problems...choose them before I play to use them, uncheck them when I don't need them, easy peasy...now I can't do that, geck won't save any setting's I do to any weapons, only projectiles and less.

Well there is one difference, I installed geck manually instead of through fomm...is that why this is not working, I need to load geck thru fose/or fomm ?

I did'nt do that before and I always made sure to make what I was going to work on the active file, but now, no combination works. But I can edit projectiles, explosions etc no prob, but not the weapons themselves which is pretty much the whole reason for editing anyway :/

I'll try and install geck a couple different ways like that through fomm or something and I'll post back and let ya know what happened.

ahh.. no fose needed.. my fault.. i read your original post wrong.. for some reason i thought you were messing with custom weapons from 20th century pack.

there is no reason why the geck shouldn't save the change to your weapons.. especially if its changing the ammo.

as for installing the geck.. all i ever do is hit the .exe and install the normal way and then update it to 1.5.

All is fixed, don't know what got fixed, but re-installed geck and the update and fomm and fose lol...wish I could be more specific on what could have been the problem for future reference in case someone else, well you know.

Thanks man, it was definately with geck and the update installation though.
