OBLIVION VISUAL C++ RUNTIME ERROR

Hello my dear fellows :) I have a big problem with the game. This is kind of joke... i dont know how to fix it, maybe someone has this problem before.

The Problem is... My oblivion is installed sucssesfully and yes, i use mod. everything works fine until i dont installed ONE stupid mod. "Summon Doppleganger" after this mod, i have some problems with my game. I get runtime error, yes, but not after 20minutes playing. No this is something worse. When i play, evertything is ok, EVERYTHING! But when i play maybe 10minutes, and i load the game, there is a problem. After load game... (quickload) i pickup a magical ring, no matter of effect this ring, only when i equipment magical ring i get my runtime error. This is some strange problem, i dont know how to fix it. And I PLEASE somebody... answer me if you know how to fix it... A, and one more thing... Before installed this mod i has reinstal system, and i just instal oblivion to old folder. Now i remowe this folder and install game ones more, but this problem not dispair.

 

PLEASE FOR HELP!!!

Just reinstalling will not fix certain problems as the built in uninstall doesn't really uninstall much.

 

First, try a simple fix. Delete the Oblivion.ini file, the one in the c:\users\your user name\my documents\my games\oblivion folder (if you use WinXP change \users\ to \documents and settings\

 

The next time you start the game it will create a new oblivion.ini based on your current hardware. You will have to reselect your video settings.

 

Next, for troubleshooting - try returning to a vanilla (unmodded) game

It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice.

I recommend that you do not use Summon Doppleganger mod. The method that it uses (createfullactorclone) to create the doppelganger can cause massive problems because of items that you have in your inventory - it tries to copy them too. Quest or scripted items can react badly to being copied.

 

Also, Summon Doppleganger can cause savegame bloating which is also a bad thing.
