FOIP CTDs - unplayable

I'm about to give up. I've uninstalled all packages and reinstalled them. I've tried to run the game without Merged Patch. I've tried to run the game without Project Beauty. I'm tired of having to rebuild the merged patch, master order and restart the entire game every time I make a small change.

 

I'm probably doing something wrong.

MMM Package is the FOMOD version, installed with "Menu Configuration" instead of "ESP configuration" - is this right?

 

FWE was installed only with core files, DLC files and Followers Enhanced (broken steel) - is this right?

 

Is there a way to skip the cutscenes where dad makes you look at the gene projection, tells you your name, etc?

Funny, i am having the exact same issue as you, well i can get ingame, but it randomly freezes like every 1-5 minutes, and i have all the same mods as you installed

 

Also if you already played FO just go ahead and search nexus for Alternate start - roleplayers ; if skips the whole tutorial, you can goto a computer and select your profession etc (and you get armor / weapon based on the profession ) etc, its kind of cool

Load order looks good, but fellout is included in FWE already. Try getting rid of that.

EDIT: Looks like I was wrong about fellout... oops :blush:

@ Daterxies: Since the 1.1 patch came out, dual core support has been broken. I had the same problem, but this fixed it:

 

Open up the fallout.ini file in: My Documents\My Games\Fallout3

Find the line:

bUseThreadedAI=0

change it to:

bUseThreadedAI=1

Add another line after it and insert:

iNumHWThreads=2

 

This will limit the game to 2 cores and prevent the engine bug from causing the game to freeze. Hope it helps :thumbsup:

Fellout isn't in FWE - but I disabled it anyway. I can live without it. I just want to get FOIP working. I've reinstalled everything one more time, here's my load order:

The load order is quite perfect

 

Now be sure to apply the multi core fix described by bearishparrot

 

and dont forget to run the masterupdate after you have built the merged patch
