idea: living armor

if someone already had a idea similar to this, then sorry in advance)

 

so a necromancer can bind a spirit into a dead body, right? well, what if they could infuse a spirit into a set of armor? basically, this mod would add a new type of enemy into the game, a living armor. their ability would depend on how new or used the armor that they are made of. there would be 3 types, broken (25% armor), worn(50%), regular(75%), and new(100%). there could also be a npc which allows you to sacrifice a full set of armor, 1 weapon, 1 shield(if you want a melee one), 1 arrow type(if you want a ranger), and one staff(if you want a spellcaster). in exchange you would get a "summon (prefix) living (combat type) (armor type)" spell. for added effect, maybe you could talk to your armor and try to see what it was in the past life? you could get different dialog depending on what weapon you gave it.

 

pc: do you remember anything from your past life?

sc: it's a bit foggy, but i do remember (insert dialog here)

 

the only problem i could think of is what happens if it dies. i'm not sure what would happen to the armor, maybe it could just drop to the ground like the weapons of npc that you kill. idk. but the summoned version would not drop armor. that would just make it easy to farm
