Witch Hunt - the Trailer

I...am about to go on a war path. I think I just waited $8...

@LB; Sorry you're not happy, but not sure why? Can't get the d/l? (That would be a real problem!) Install issues? Or played through (I just finished for the first time myself) and, like Rendon Howe, you felt you deserved "more"? For myself, I was very satisifed with it.

While I would recommend importing a Warden who isn't a pushover, and one who's relationship with Morrigan (either way) and decsions in the last couple of sequences you're happy to "live" with, I would NOT recommend using your most powerful one. (I imported my most recent Level 33, DW Rogue from Awakenings, and basically all combat was a cake-walk.) Maybe I should have used the same Warden from the end of Origins, (Level 24-or-so.)

But as far as the main point, (for most of us, anyway...)

I got the ending I had hoped for, and I think any/everyone else can too!

Overall...?

wow sexy witch... i just installed DAO ;p and am wondering should I install any mod first b4 I play??

NO!!! Not the first time through...

Both the story and the game are excellent OOB. Enjoy it once as God and the Devs intended!

(OK, that said...) There are actually a couple of Community Mods that fix things BioWare left broken at release, and haven't fixed yet. Even though there have been a half dozen patches already. The most recent is 1.04, but we all anticipate 1.04a on Monday or Tuesday to correct a continuity problem that some players experience with what happens at the end of Witch Hunt.

The mods I recommend to fix the broken dialogue branches and missing plot-flag triggers are:

a. Qwinns Unoffical FixPack: Single most comprehensive mod to "FIX what's broke", and only what's broke." Not available here on Nexus, but over on the BioWare Social Network forums at: "Qwinns FIxpack" at BSN

(NOTE: All these links take you to the "Description" page. READ the general description and installation notes, but beware of SPOILERS if you read too far. The mods themselves are downloaded from the "Files" tab on each page.)

b. Dialogue Tweaks: Many more "adjustments" to the dialogue. Corrects some obvious, and some subtle errors, especially late in the game.

Here: "DT" on Nexus

AFTER your first play-through. Here are my "must-have" mods:

a. Morrigan Restoration Patch: As the name implies, restores two fully-voiced dialogue scenes with one of the main NPCs. These scenes are already installed as part of the game, but without the mod they will never fire. CAUTION: This adds the potential for a drastic (and irrevokable) change in the entire remainder of the game. While it is possible to trigger this same event is other ways, those ways require much more deliberate and/or prolonged effort on the part of the player. I think the scene was cut during final play-testing because the Devs discovered that it was too easy to cause this event "inadvertently".

Here: "MRP" on Nexus

b. Anytime World Map (one of the biggest "cheats" I use.) Gives you access to a merchant (to free-up inventory capacity) and the ability to re-org your party to better fit the situation, at times you are not supposed to be able to. CAUTION: There are at least two points in the vanilla game when you've been "trapped" and must go forward to esacpe. If you use this trick then, you break the plot and cannot recover. While it's possible to continue the game without having accomplished the goals for those points, it will be MUCH more difficult, and MUCH less fun!

Here: "Anytime World Map" on BSN

c. Equal Love: Removes all gender restrictions for potential romances. (Does create the potential for occasional situations where the wrong personal pronoun will be used to refer to the PC.)

Here: "Equal Love" on Nexus

d. Polygamey: Allows multiple concurrent romances to continue beyond the points at which the vanilla game would have forced the PC to decide. Unfortunately, also removes triggers for "jealousy" conversations, which are some of the best!

Here: "Polygamey" on Nexus

e. Extra Dog Slot and Full Combatant Dog (two mods): Allows employment of one specific companion as a summoned creature, so does not count against max Party size. Boosts total combined "firepower" by about 20% by having an "extra" member.

Here: "Extra Dog Slot" on Nexus

and Here: "FCD" on Nexus

The rest of the mods I use are asthetic changes to faces, bodies, sounds, etc. And there are ones to suit every style and taste, so you can go crazy with 'em.

Plus, there are two "must have" utilities:

a. DAO Mod Manager (DAMM): Makes the installation, uninstallation, and (for certain ones) configuration of many mods easier.

Here: "DAMM" on Nexus

b. TerraEx's "CharGenMorph Compilier": Automates the combining of multiple mods that change characters' appearances.

Here: "CharGenMorph Compiler" on Nexus

If you like RPG's, you'll love Dragon Age!

Enjoy!

I did not get the right ending, no matter what I did in Origins...even though I did import my Awakening charecter who gave Morrigan her baby (I mean, why else would my charecter be alive?!)

"The beta patch has successfully passed today. We've now created the real PC patch with a proper installer etc (currently dubbed 1.04a) and this is in final tests over the weekend - we hope to release it on Monday (exact time still tbd).

The X360 title update, and the PS3 patch were also completed today and will be in test over the weekend - we hope to send these to MS & Sony early next week. Once we hear from the platform holders on a timeframe to release we'll communicate that out to you.

Thank you again for your patience."

I wonder when the patch for the patch will be out  And while I'm at it...

Fernando said Monday (tomorrow) for those of us on a PC.

Is that my dog?

No, that is not my dog :verymad: My dog had much higher stats with a better collar and kaddis.

The kaddis washed off when Wynne gave him a bath (and forgot to put his collar back on) while you were away at Vigil's Keep! His stats are lower because he got fat and lazy not being around you during DA:A and GoA.
