torseaton
I am doing a clean install of OBLIVION and Danwoods FCOM SUPERPACK v4.1 This is a self installing super collection of many mods. I have had a terrible time with mod conflicts (mostly MMM causing crashes) and after 3 weeks of fooling with it and not playing a game I desperately need for stress relief, I found Danwood's site. Anyway, I will be posting my installation and game play experience for others and would encourage everyone to post thoughts if they have used Danwood's Superpack. ArmeniusLOD
I usually advise against FCOM packages because, with the amount of things in it, it's hard to go in to disable and remove things you may not want. FCOM is all about customization. If you have trouble installing it then maybe you should stay away from it. Plus this doesn't have the WarCry 1.09 update. It looks to not have the MMM COBL update, either. If it works for you, then great. All the mods FCOM incorporate make Oblivion a complex and immersive world. "If you have trouble installing it then maybe you should stay away from it." This is a terrible notion! I have been programing since DOS. If we used your theory that if you have trouble using things stay away from it, then we would still be using archaic programing languages and most people would not own a PC. Ease of use is very important to people. I work 100+ hours a week and dont have time to spend 2 weeks going through the FCOM manual install only to find that I am suffering CTD constantly and having to go through each MOD to find the conflict. This package was a god-send. As for customization see my next reply on installation experience.
torseaton
INSTALL EXPERIENCE.... VERY EASY! So much simpler and less complicated than FCOM install. You still must be able to use Wrye Bash and Boss and OBMM, so its not a beginner install, but it is a SIMPLIFICATION install. 1. Wrye Bash, OBMM, TweakOblivion, etc...2.) FCOM Superpack3.) FCOM Superpack Patch4.) optional other mods (There are many mods, mostly eye candy, not included so I have also added the best, ie... Better Cities, etc...) Here is the install guide. There are some funny typos because English is not the Danwood's first language, or second it seems... still very easy step by step. Here is the step by step install guide link: http://superpackden.mastertopforum.net/installation-guide-vt3.html

This package was a god-send. As for customization see my next reply on installation experience. Like I said, FCOM is a great mod. Any help that is available to install it is an asset to the community. The FCOM team itself says that it is "not for the faint of heart." That is why I used the qualifier "maybe." I'm sorry if my thoughts were misconstrued. I was only trying to say that a compilation still won't guarantee everything will work properly. The only way to be sure is to play around with it, find out what isn't working, try to fix it, and then play with it again. It took myself nearly a month of tinkering to find out I was having a leveled lists problem in Wrye Bash because of the extra esp's I had that I wasn't using. I also found out how much easier it was on myself to use BAIN instead of trying to install everything manually. Advancement can only be made if people set out to do what others say is impossible. Be careful not to add too many extra plugins because the closer you get to the hard limit of 255, the more likely you'll experience CTDs due to buffer overflow. You can always try to merge some plugins, but this is a tricky business.
RDawkins
he compiled a modpack also for FO3, i tried it months ago (its based on FWE). Awesome! I really hope he makes something also for New Vegas, hes taste mods is just like mine, the only difference is that i would not be able to "build" such a compilation  Edited January 25, 2011 by RDawkins

Wordsmith
I've been running the FCOM Superpack v4.01 for a few weeks now and it's pretty stable - I get less crashes than with vanilla Oblivion (probably because it has a couple of stability mods included)
