caterpie Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 I have in my possession some small hard drives and I was wondering, what are the signs that they are no longer working. Right now, they are not being read at all and I would like to know if it is possible to get them working.

Illiad86 Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 Hmmm well normally a dead HDD will either not read or will make some really weird sounds when it's being read (loud ticking, grinding). Older Windows OS use FAT32 instead of NTFS...but they can still be read by a NTFS system.
