Creating Items

I am interested in creating some items for the game, just for my own game really. Would someone be able to tell me how to create a mod for this? And also is it possible to edit the stats of items such as the damage of weapons and the defence of armor? Only ask that cause i looked at the Toolset and that just seemed to allow adding the properties on it like the +1 Magic that was on one of the rings i got early on in the game.

the only way to increase/decrease the damage of a weapon or defense of armor is to increase/decrease the tier of the matierial that is made from. The actual settings for those are in a different file. And editng that file will effect ALL weapons/armor of that particular type. So increasing the damage of say.... the 2h starfang just by itself, would not be possible. Editing the file for the 2h swords would effect ALL 2h swords.

You can however, add to their bonuses thru the properties drop box in the toolset when creating the item.

Theres a link in this section of the forums, its stickied at the top of the page. You will there find links for tutorials on how to throw all of it together, and how to make the scripts to spawn the items.

AND on your other thread, to add an item to a chest, you use the same scripting method. But you use the name of the chest, instead of the name of the toon. In this particular case you would probably have to create that chest in the TS, and add it to the area that you're wanting it placed in, unless that chest is already there in the game. (That I'm afraid, I can be of No help to you with, at all :( )

for the spawn scripts, take a look here- http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/233205-scripting-to-spawn-multiple-items/

Ahh that's too bad, a trainer i had did allow for modding the weapon stats. Unfortunately it also sometimes had a side effect of causing effects to become permanent such as stuns. Though i guess it only changed the values while the trainer was running as it seemed to go back when it wasnt on.
