So, I thought I could leave her at my house but when I started the quest it said that she was at Vault 101. Okay, I do the quest and I finished it. So, I go back to get my dog but she's not at my house and I don't see her anywhere near Vault 101. Me cries.:( Where is she? Could someone please tell me where I can find my dog? When i am using fast travel (FWE) dogmeat arrives with me in Megaton but when i am leaving it dogmeat is away. How can i take dogmeat with me out of the town or how can i find him when im in front of the town and he is not? Because if i am going back to Megatown after leaving it first he is gone. edit: Ok i solved the problem with sending dogmeat to vault 101 and after he left Megaton i catched him in front of it. Is this the only way to take dogmeat out of similar situations?Try this - when you leave megaton through the door, fast travel to Springvale and any companion will reappear there for you, or at any other fast travel location you choose. I've had this problem with all companions, they don't leave Megaton through the door - it must be a program restraint. If dogmeat is killed you have to wait until you are told he is 'back' at 101 - he's just outside near the scenic overlook sign.
