Just getting around to diving head first into the ever forboding world of 3d modeling and retina torture. Fingures surviving well rump needs a run but here's the problem, what do I need to do to open >bethesda nif< files with blender? I have come short of digitally throwing it againts a wall of custom chrome spikes but thought I should ask first.

I got these deathclaws and and some lockers I have plans for...I know, tall order for a greeny, but just as well it's going down and I just want to know how to open fallout 3 mesh/nif files with blender for now..please?

Yah man, good lookin out. I gotta get that done and see if that clears up this other problem :/

Good to stay current, though I slack a bit. I'm having an issue with a file called -meatcap gore 01- dds not found and some files not loading due to not finding a needed (.n)dds ?? but only on human mesh so far. Does that happen elsewhere? Figured I would give it a shot on my female char just to see what I'm dealing with but I can't get her to load, maybe because she's already edited?

So I went to open a male raider to start on my "Conan" lol "The Barbarian" char and i got the same thing, blender froze on loading looking for meat caps and dds gore. Loads other stuff fine, creatures, etc.

Now whats got me is, all the files that won't load on blender, load on nifscope, and I can do things with them...just not the right, things because nifscope is...hard to use. I like to contour, shape, chisel, add, remove stretch you know all that. Far as I can tell, NifsKope don't do all that, does it?
