Skevitj
Well if anyone can recognize the quote, you already know what I'm about to ask. Ignoring one Firefly themed mod request a year or so ago (which I'm pretty sure didn't get made), I haven't seen anything pop up (mod or request) which resembles Jayne's gun Vera from the Firefly TV series. I'm second to everyone when it comes to making models/texturing, so if anyone has the time and motivation to have a shot at this, iou1. For pictures, have a look over here. The guy made his own machined lifesize working (I suspect not, but hope) replica from scratch (as accurate as legally possible), right at the end there are some really good shots of the completed piece. At any rate, google "firefly vera" and there's a ton, as well as some really distracting pictures of Morena. I'm aware it wouldn't be the simplest model around, but it does seem reasonably regular (shape), so hopefully most of the work could be done through the texture design. So cheers, and good luck. PS. I'll update this when/if I manage to get a few decent pictures of the sonic stun rifles, unless someone else finds them first.
Nadin
"I'm in."I don't know enough about modeling to make this for you, but if you do get the model I'll put it in-game for you.
Skevitj
The ingame bit would be easy enough. After all it is just a model/texture modification of a SAIGA shotgun which already exists in a number of mods. Haven't used 19th and 20th Century Weapons but they have at least 2 SAIGA models there, otherwise Arkan has a model with a texture which looks about right as a base (here). If any of those look alright as a base, let me know and I'll go ask for permissions. Still can't find any decent pictures of those damn stun guns... Oh well, guess there's not a whole lot of room for "non-lethal pacification tools" in Fallout anyway.
Nadin
I found a better image:http://www.labarc.com/Black/VeraGun.jpgI think I know who to ask.
Skevitj
Did you look down the bottom of the article I posted? Hey Nadin, you know the stun guns I'm talking about? I can't find a decent picture of them anywhere. I'm reluctant to have to take screen shots from the episode for the obvious reason (see attached). If you have any more luck than me finding them... Nadin
I kinda remember. I haven't watched that show in a while.I asked a fairly good modeler who is supposedly taking requests. He's done some work which could easily be turned into vera with a few tweaks, so I'm hoping that he's in an obligating mood.
Skevitj
Hey sounds good to me. Even if it is just a hack and slash job, there are plenty of tutorials out there which I could use to "pretty" it up a little. Moreso on the texture side, I've tried learning how to use/mucking around with blender, but don't have the time it would take to get to the point where I'm actually comfortable using it. Seeing as how someone at the linked site has already constructed a 3d model for that project, why not ask him or her for a copy of the file? No doubt the model would need some touching up, but this could save you a lot of work.
Nadin
An actual model. You know, one that you can hold. It weighs 13 pounds, as I recall.
Skevitj
Na, he created a 3ds model for the purpose of ordering machined parts... Real high precision stuff. That's the complete opposite of a "game ready" model. The level of detail in his model would likely send most computers into a fit. The detail would need to be scaled down significantly. The model didn't have details on every part, just the machined ones and connections, so I'm not too sure how "complete" it is.

That said I might have a look at sending the person responsible for it an email at some stage. I was thinking about it initially, but figured I'd try and get someone capable of making the model interested first, since there would have to be edits made before it is suitable for use in FO anyway.
