How to Change Floor Type in Geck

A building piece is made up of a few 'parts' - walls, floor, ceiling, doors and other things - which each has their own (usually) separate texture file. This makes it easy to change, for instance, only replace the floor texture.

 

In the GECK, you can open the Model Data window for an object and be presented with a list of the 'parts' the selected model contains. Using Texture Sets, you can change the texture of only one of the parts. Double click on one of the parts in the list and you will be presented with a list of texture sets to choose from. Double click one of these to apply it to the selected part. You can remove an applied texture set by double clicking the part and closing the selection window when it appears.
