Trypal7
Blender stalls and has to be shut down and re started. Seems only female human mesh files do this...any reason why? is there a fix? It's asking for a missing meatcap gore 01 dds file, not sure why that would be a problem when all I want to do is change the shape and size of certain..ahem tah tah's. and ofcourse a smaller tighter behind. Male files load fine, anybody got any ideas? Does that happen elsewhere? Figured I would give it a shot on my female char just to see what I'm dealing with but I can't get her to load, maybe because she's already edited? So I went to open a male raider to start on my "Conan" lol "The Barbarian" char and i got the same thing, blender froze on loading looking for meat caps and dds gore. Loads other stuff fine, creatures, etc. Now whats got me is, all the files that won't load on blender, load on nifscope, and I can do things with them...just not the right, things because nifscope is...hard to use. I like to contour, shape, chisel, add, remove stretch you know all that. Far as I can tell, NifsKope don't do all that, does it?
BarryTGash
I'm certainly no expert in nifskope (NS) or blender, but can you not export an obj from NS import to blender, edit then import the original file, transfer weights, delete imported mesh and re-save? Trypal7
I'll give that a go. Well I tried what you said and saved it as a couple different names but as an .obj file to my usual folder, then to blender work folder. but when in blender and pointing to that file, it remains dark and blender won'r recognize it even though it's an .obj file. ? BarryTGash
I cannot remember if blender natively supports obj files or if you need to install a plugin for it. However, looking into this further, body models aren't really treated any differently to armour/clothing - perhaps analysing a tutorial or several will help? One tutorial I have bm's is: http://sites.google.com/site/sickleyield/uf3clothingconversion However, there is a pdf floating about the Nexus that I think is a little more concise. Either way, it should help learn how workflow between the different softwares can be exploited.
Trypal7
Thank you, guide is great, it clears some other things up as well. As far as the loading problem, it's solved.
