Question's

Hello there my name is Motoko, I use to have Fallout New Vegas for my PS3 but a few months back I got back into PC gaming, one of the top games to get on my list is Fallout New Vegas & I plan to buy in next week.

Now that I will be playing Fallout New Vegas on the PC I thought to myself what better way to make my Fallout NV experience better then to add a bunch of Mods too it, now here comes the questions, finding good armour & weapons isn’t a hard thing on the Nexus but finding the right ENB,Texture pack, creature & enemy packs, & climate etc can be quite a tool, I have allot of idea's of how my perfect Fallout NV experience should look & I was wondering if you guys could help me & match me to the right mods for what I am looking for, here is a list of what I am looking for out of my Fallout NV experience.

1. Jeez bro you scary
When we all think of Fallout we know its a role play game, however when I think of a post apocalyptic wasteland it makes me think of horror, gore & generally creepy shiz, now this means when I play Fallout NV I want it to scare the panties off me, Fallout 3 for me did the creepy vibe much better with its large creaking crumbling structures & underground railways but I think this is where Fallout NV has always failed for me, being lost in the middle of nowhere in the pitch black is really damn scary because you can only see a few feet in-front of your face, even though you know that in real life there is no monsters that go bump in the night when faced with the pitch black we cling onto are only sources of light like we are just a small child again, I want this same experience in Fallout NV even when in 3rd person, I want there to be a huge selection of really freaky monsters & for there to be that claustrophobic feeling of a pitch black night, if possible I also want the game to be eary in the day, like on Silent Hill where even if its day time things just feel unsettling & you know Shiz just aint right.

2. I like it EXTREME

When I think of a desert I think extremely hot days & freezing cold nights, we all know from watching movies that trekking through the desert while the high noon sun beats down on you with a limited amount of water is a horrible prospect to be faced with, the heat rising off the horizon & the sweat on your brown makes you remember that your not taking a stroll through your local park but a big open thriving desert, now despite the sand & lack of shrubbery in Fallout NV it always felt a little lack lustre in the desert atmosphere, even during the day time some places in Fallout NV just feel cold, they don’t feel hot at all & just feel like your roaming along a beach in England, the nights don’t feel any better, whether its textures, lighting effects or whatever you wonderful people can throw my way, crank up that AC & or rap up warm cus I want those weathers to be Super Hot & Super Cold :)

3. to HUD or not to HUD that is the question

So don’t get me wrong here HUD's can be great, there a great source of information & are generally really really helpful, however for me a HUD can be done great & a HUD can be done absolutely pants, for me the Fallout NV HUD sadly rests in the “Undergarments” section lol, personally for me the HUD in all of the Fallout games broke my sense of immersion, so I started to play with the HUD turned off, however this means you never know what HP etc you are on & can be detrimental when you go into a fight with half HP & you don’t even know it, now despite not having a HUD in real life there are many queues that let us know how we are feeling apart from the obvious ones, are tummies make noises when we are hungry, are vision becomes blurry & obstructed when we are dyeing & even lack of sleep can cause us to have “Mirco naps”, despite not liking the COD series of games they really do hit the nail on the head replacing simple elements with fully functional visual elements, to me fare enough to have computer like elements on your Pipboy but having these tech like meters around my character makes me feel like I am in some sort of Matrix.

4. it's got to be Hard ;)

Lol despite the pun I used for the title of this section I am actually talking about difficulty here, To me the standard settings of the game difficulty can feel a little lack lustre, even though at the beginning of the game the harder difficulties can be challenging when you get yourself some kick booty weapons & some walking juggernaut armour the game can feel to dang easy, even if you play with no armour as long as you get Sneak to 100 the game just feels as easy as spreading butter on toast, now I am not saying the game needs to be me getting one shotted by a bloatfly but some sort of evolving difficulty or even just slightly harder difficulty would be greatly appreciated.

5. What’s with all these dead bodies yo?

So I dunno if this is a problem on the PC version but when I played Fallout NV on the PS3 you could kill someone & even a year later there bodies would still be there, maybe its asking a little bit too much but it would be nice if bodies decayed or animals came along & ate the bodies, even if you could bury the dead or put them on stakes that would be a million times better, its the small things that count when it comes to immersion.

6. So I got all these weapons but there hiding where?
So for a long time now its been a staple of Fallout for you to some how have an almost endless void in your but that you can store all your goodies in, now say I am using a Combat knife, a Revolver & a Shotgun then why cant I see them? Every time get my next weapon out it seems like in my characters clothes are some super high tech interdimensional volt tech storage devices cus they just seem to come out of no where, not to mention those fifty or so soda bottles I picked up to make cactus water with, where did they go? Is my tushy that HUGE that I can store fifty soda bottles in it? Or do I just have one of those afro's you could hide a person in? Clutter really creates character & I feel like Fallout NV doesn’t have enough in regards to your player.

7.Dude how did all these zombies come about?

So once again its a staple of Fallout for your player to have to go into highly radioactive area's in persute of a quest or loot, now according to what I can understand ghouls are humans who have suffered from a certain amount of radiation poisoning that has altered there appearance, now we all know that if your player gets to much radiation in Fallout you can die, also depending on your level of radiation sickness you are given certain debuffs making your character less effective, but what we never see is the physical strain radiation puts on your character, when my character is on deaths door with radiation poisoning why cant I see it? Why is there skin not distorted in colour? why are they not losing there hair? Why are they not literally puking there guts up as the radiation begins to melt there organs? To me it seems with how little physical effect radiation has on humans in the Fallout universe that ghouls just seem... well very unlikely.

So here is my list of Questions/Gribes with the base Fallout NV game, if you know any mods that can help me with these issues then please feel free to reply, leave links & possably pictures or links to video's showing the mod, if I had any Grammer issues then I apologise & thank you very much for reading this far, I look forward to reading you replies. hugs xx

1 & 2) http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42180/?

3) This one's a compromise, it won't fully remove the HUD, but it will get rid of it when it's inconvenient: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44757/?

5) That probably won't be too much of a problem on the PC, but regardless: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/37935/?

Before long, you'll need this too, I'd imagine; http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42507/?

There's plenty of other stuff out there too, but this is what came to mind first.
