ishmaeltheforsaken
So, I'm used to modding Oblivion, which is really, really easy. All I want to do is create a re-skin of the Templar armor, but make it a new item so that the new texture doesn't affect the original armor. Easy-peasy in Oblivion, but I have no idea how to do this with DA. I've looked on the Builder Wiki, looked at the tutorial articles on the Nexus, and I've got nothing. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be much obliged. Thanks so much :)
DarkeWolf
Heyas Ishmael- ok... please keep in mind that I havent done any of this, so I dont know if these will be any help to your or not.But yeah, you're on the first steps of finding out that DA makes almost nothing easy. :pinch:http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/72/index/320619 adding new items to the toolset and gamehttp://social.bioware.com/wiki/datoolset/index.php/Tutorial:_Creating_recolors_of_existing_items how to recolor existing items to create new ones and finally- http://social.bioware.com/project/41/ an easy to use program to extract your vanilla textures and meshes (even rescale them as well, if you want to). I hope that this can at least get you started, since all the crap that they make you do for this game confuses me, which means that I cant be of much more help than that :( Good luck! And happy gaming!
