GBHis
Oblivion is about roleplaying. SA is about the Mafia. (read: Cosa Nostra crap) People who play games like Oblivion tends to be slightly more intelligent than people who play shoot'em'ups the whole day.Is this really for you? How come you got here? Spelling "tessource.com" is hard. "forum.gamingsource.net" is even worse... GTA 4? What are you talking about? It's not going to be better than SA. As a matter of fact, GTA 4 has been out for more than three years. It's called "Vice City" (Two words, that one is really hard?) Think before you speak. Think again before you post it on the Internet!actually, the next gta game is called gta 4. havent u seen e3 06? Ya it is, I personally thought that was stupid, there was GTA 3, Vice City, SA, then GTA 4. WTF!! shouldnt it be GTA 6 o_O Sorry, Mr.TO ME, it is number 6. Sorry, everyone :) And for being mean, painting with brushes (read, graffiti) is possible - to me. Happy modding.
Wrath_Of_Deadguy
You know what else i find stupid: Gigantic 450lb weapons That's not so bad. If you're already going to allow "feather" spells and potions that allow your character to carry unthinkably huge amounts of stuff around (especially when even your unmodified stats allow such feats), why can't that same character carry and swing a weapon several times their own size? It would be cool if you could have your character become thinner or fatter or more muscular, but sometimes it just doesn't make that big of a difference in immersion. It becomes even less important when your computer (like my 2GHz Centrino + 1GB RAM + Radeon 9700 Mobility 128MB laptop) can only just handle a game at its minimum settings without the framerate being too low to play. Oblivion is a very pretty game, even with everything turned down, but any unneccessary features beyond those already in the game would fry my poor computer faster than a senior chugging beer on a friday night after exams. Having played every GTA in the series save for LCS, I can say San Andreas doesn't hold a candle to Oblivion. The only thing they have in common is the "sandbox" concept of gameplay- being able to go wherever you want, whenever you want, kill almost anyone you want, and so forth. I had a lot of fun with SA, but honestly- they're vastly different titles. SA is a shooter at heart, while Oblivion is an RPG- the stats leveling in SA is purely a gimmick, even if it does add a bit of flavor to the formula. I'd much rather have the nearly unlimited character building options that Oblivion offers over SA's stats and model warping any day of the week. TO ME, it is number 6. Sorry, everyone Well... both Vice City and San Andreas are prequels to GTAIII. GTA, GTA:London 1969 and GTAII have nothing to do with the ongoing story told by the last 4 games (including Liberty City Stories, the 7th GTA title). As far as story goes, GTA:SA is the second game on the GTA timeline, taking place in 1991 (Vice City was set in 1986).
Evangelion_2014
Yeah Like StarCraft. :D You ever notice how in all of these mideival RPGs the chicks are wereing some sort of ancient Spandex or armor that protects there legs but not there chest( for obvious reasons) , where all of there vital organs are. Spandex was invented in the 80's or something and in the real dark ages you wouldn't want to look at that stuff anyway because all the women, well, everyone, had leaprosy, Plauge and warts. Figures cause they threw their poo out the window and into the street. o_O You know what else i find stupid: Gigantic 450lb weapons, like in "war craft" I'd Want to make my charicter short and fat. :D Starcraft PWNS. I suck at it, but it still PWNS. Protoss/Zerg FTW They need the fanservice for guys that probably aren't too lucky with the opposite sex, and who could care less about the history. Besides, It would kind of ruin the fantasy setting in say, LOTR if the elven women had say, maggots and lice crawling over their bodies. o_0 About the guns, well hey, it's GTA. The game freaking auto-targets. It's not supposed to be realistic(or else 10 yearolds that shouldn't have it anyway would not be playing it). dylandvillian
i'm glad that you posted this cause i was dreading the comparison in my own head. Now i'm convinced that beth dropped the ball. None-the-less i still think that oblivion is way better, you can eat all day an not gain a single pound, or you can starve your self to death a never actually reep the havoks of actually dieing. so to answer your question i would say for myself no cause if i want those affects in RPG then i may go an play fable lost chapters. I would actually like to see some good new content though, like morrowind skill conversion mod, increased total amount of skills instead of decreased the amount of skills; after all this is supposed to be the next in the line of the TES series. I also strongly believe that they should not have put in hot keys. A couple of cycle keys (5-6) would suffice cause then you could cycle magic, weapons, potions, food, posions and torches. Sorry thats off topic. Dylandvillian
