CTD after re-install

I just recently uninstalled and then reinstalled FO3 in order to clear out a bunch of useless data from old mods that I do not play anymore and now whenever I try to launch FO3 it CTD on startup. So I tried to make a general merged patch and a master update but FOMM and FO3Edit are both acting weird. Maybe one of you guys can give me a hand. Here's my loadout:

Sounds like you've got some experience so apologies in advance if this is old hat to you - Have you ?:

 

- installed to a different directory other than C:\Program Files (a must if your running Win7 or Vista)

- modified your fallout.ini file for multi-core cpu (if you have one)

- updated or removed G4WL (Games for Windows Live)

 

Personal experience with FOOK2 is you'll really need a merge patch - sounds like your installed to C:\Program Files (default directory) which can cause the problem you've described in Win7 / Vista.

Did you upgrade to the FOOK2 latest beta version? (I think it's 1.1)

If you did, you have a few erroneous .esp files in your load order... I did the exact same thing. Read the FOOK2 installation instructions for the new beta very carefully. I'd tell you, but I can't remember it exactly.

 

Other than that... you might've borked your ini file - which is easier to do than one might think.
