crash when seeing a centaur

the title says it all

 

 

everytime i see a centaur (those tongued beasts which shoot glob at you)

the game just boots me to desktop

is there a fix for this? ive experienced other crashes in fallout 3 but they dont happen occasionally

 

EDIT:

sorry it wasnt the centaurs that was causeing it because im just after fighting one somewhere else and it was fine no crash or anything

so it seems to somewhere around the tepid sewers is were itll crash

if i face from the tepids sewers itll crash if i head from the statue ancharoge mermorial itll be fine just if i dont turn my back

That means something in that general area has been modified to the point of game-annihilation.

 

The best solution is to turn off all mods and then reactivate them one at a time. Retexes and UI changes you can generally not bother with, but it could be anything else.

 

Once you've found which mod it is, redownload it and install it carefully.

 

Even better, do some research on which mods modify stuff near the tepid sewers... that'll narrow your testing down a lot.
