Deleted1848331User
ORANGUTANS! You know they're awesome. Ok, so I was watching Animal Planet earlier, and it was about orangutans. And, this is why I think they're awesome. It had a report of some lady whose friend got her face ripped off and eatten by an Orangutan. Then he continued to relentlessly attack her until her friend stabbed him in the back with a knife. Then the monkey gave her a glare full of hate like he was going to kill her. Then she ran into her car and called the police. They came and found him in the lady's house on the bed, bleeding. It toke out one of the officers (knocked him out) and then the other shot him in the head to put him down so he wouldn't feel the pain of the knife anymore. Scared the living $hit out of me. Anyways, would someone be able to make an orangutan for Oblivion? I have some pictures below. http://www.redorbit.com/modules/reflib/article_images/42_7519cd3dc7572392e5ca174c8d6279ce.jpghttp://replantingtherainforests.org/site/images/stories/Borneo/borneo_orangutan.jpg Wiki (has pictures and info) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orangutan Kudos to whoever makes this! alonsomartinez
Making the fur would be really hard and probably kill Oblivion due to poly count
Deleted1848331User
You don't need the fur, really. Just the base and then on the mesh just hair like spikes and then texture them to look like hair. At least I think you could... as long as they aren't super long static hairs then it would still look realistic.
alonsomartinez
Those spikes would have to be amde up of small cubes all over the body which would still kill the count I would make this but people arent really interested in realistic creatures ( I asked in chat)
Deleted1848331User
yet you made whales rofl. Anyways, it wouldn't if you just made the small spikes out of the original mesh with the vertices. But Im not that advanced yet in blender, so I don't know. alonsomartinez
Whales , yes because they are my favorite animals and dolphins and sharks because I enjoy maritime creatures Anyways I can make a mesh for someone but I don't wanna start another project atm f anyone can do the rigging Ill supply the model if necessary Its too bad not a lot of people here have the skill to rig irregular meshes to vanilla skeletons
McMutton
The trolls are covered with fur and look fine, so an orangutan wouldn't have to be incredulously overdone.
alonsomartinez
Trolls have fur ? Really ? I thought that was just mumpy skin Im gonna open it up in Blender
Deleted1848331User
Orangutans could also be rigged to the troll skeleton, thus saving plenty of time and animation work. They're pretty much the same size anyways. After all, you could just scale their size down in the CS to like 0.8000 for adults and smaller for baby ones.
alonsomartinez
Just opened up the troll and it has no fur its just the model has bumps and small extrusions covered by a fur texture. There is no actual hairs on it though
