sebigyver
Hello, I couldn't find a satisfying solution in the forum, so here is my problem: The problem is that when I run towards trees which are far away, their full detail/texture is suddenly "poppin' in. It seems that there is a "border" when the game loads the full texture of near/mid-range trees and they are out of LOD. I have the same problem with a few city buildings, but the trees are really annoying and game breaking for me. It destroys the whole immersion when the texture suddenly appears. I'm using NMM. My PC:i7 4770K@4,4GHz16 GB RamGeforce GTX 980 4GBWindows 8.1 on a SSDGames are running on a HDD Currently I'm re-installing Skyrim for re-modding it, but I can still tell you what mods I had installed. Ini's I have used were these: EWIs High SkyrimPrefs and inis v09-59810-V09 I never have performance issues. I really don't know how to avoid those trees poppin in their full detail from LOD and appreciate your help!
Valkyrie
Maybe after you have reinstalled everything make a video of your gameplay for us to look at. A certain amount of that is normal. To a point... One fix you will find is to change a setting in your ini file to load more cells. Don't do it !!! Unless you really know what your doing it will cause much more harm that it will help. Vooodu
Id say too many texture packs and the pure weather. Run your game on lower settings like high, tone down the shadows and grass and remove some of the texture packs. I had the same issue a few months ago. Go easy on texture packs and things will be better.
sebigyver
Thanks for help! It must have been an issue with SFO and the tree mods. Now I just have SFO 2.0 running and there are no "pop ins". The only problem for now is the grass. You only recognize it, when you are running from high spots to lower spots that suddenly grass appears on the ground which is far away. In far distance, there are no grass textures, so they just appear when you get closer. it looks a bit strange. I guess it's an issue with SFO 2.0 and Unique Grasses and Groundcovers and I have to live with it?
Valkyrie
Watch any video on youtube of skyrim gameplay and you'll notice there is always some "popping in" of grass. Maybe see how bad yours is compared to that but I would guess ya its ok to live with.
