UltimateClay
This has been driving me nuts for months. Anytime I apply a custom texture to an object in nifskope, it won't appear correctly in-game (its texture keeps changing randomly). It will always appear correctly in NifSkope and randomly appear correctly in the GECK. Even if I use a vanilla texture without ANY modifications, it won't work. This is the texture path:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Textures\fancyhats\armor\fancyhat01\fancyhat01.ddsThis is the texture path as it appears in nifskope:fancyhats\armor\fancyhat01\fancyhat01.dds I know I can use Texture Sets, but I'm trying to put this item on a Protectron via the ModelList tab. I have the file in BC3/DXT5 format with mip-maps. What am I doing wrong? Edited December 16, 2014 by UltimateClay
Ladez
If I remember correctly, the texture path in NifSkope must begin with "textures\" for the game to be able to locate them. Basically, the way you've done it, the game is looking for the texture in:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\fancyhats\armor\fancyhat01\fancyhat01.dds
UltimateClay
Thanks! Do you know how I can do that? EDIT: Never mind, I figured it out. Open a model in NifSkope and go to Render > Settings, then add your Data folder. Edited December 17, 2014 by UltimateClay
