owlofminerva
I've recently tried both of these mods and there's an odd problem when entering the interior of the Vertibirds. I can walk around inside for a few seconds and then it'll freeze and I have to force-quit the game. I'm almost certain this is some kind of hardware issue because I don't have any other mods installed. I also don't have a freezing problem anywhere else in the game. Maybe has something to do with the fact that the Vertibird interior is such a small space and the framerate is high? Here's my specs and relevant info: Fallout 3 GOTY Steam versionNo other mods installedLatest stable version of FOSE (just downloaded today) Intel Q95503.5gb RAM <--- I suspect this might be causing the problem. I have a pair of G.Skill running at dual-channel but I recently added ONE stick of this spare 'gaming' RAM I had lying around. Anyone know if three sticks is a no-no for stability?GeForce GTX 260 with latest driversXP Pro SP3No overclocked components...temps seem fine Lemme know if y'all have any ideas. Thanks in advance! owlofminerva
I think I've fixed the problem myself. In case anyone is curious, apparently the game don't like quad cores. I had to edit Fallout3.ini and change iNumHWThreads=4 to iNumHWThreads=2. And don't forget to set the file to read-only. The game seems to set the value back to 4 by itself.
