FloofyMomo
I recently upgraded my computer moved from WIN 7 to WIN 10 "Technical Preveiw" and upgraded my processor to a AMD FX 6300 Six-Core 3.50 GHz (I also had to upgrade motherboards since the old one didn't support the new processor). But ever since I've upgraded skyrim doesnt seem to work, by that I mean I get past the bethesda screen then it crashes. Do you guys have any fixes or possibly some info? Also only skyrim does it all of my other games run smoothly without any problems. SOLVED Skyrim was just goofing and not activating all my mods on the load order and I got them to activate so now it works. FloofyMomo
I have narrowed the problem down sadly to skse I got the game working on the normal skyrim launcher but skse crashes the game on startup
rhowington
Here is a little advice, take it for what it is worth. When using the technical preview or the upcoming consumer preview, you should always load the preview to dual boot or run virtually. Loading the technical preview over win 7 is just asking for trouble. Drivers aren't optimized, the release isn't complete and ever changing, and most assuredly programs are not going to work. bben46
What rhowington said. The current iteration of Win10 is still very much a beta version with changes coming out almost daily. This means what worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. And trying to make changes in any program to compensate for the Win10 changes would be like chasing your tail. Again, the fixes that may have worked yesterday may not work tomorrow. My suggestion is to hold off on Win10 until we have a stable release - that may be a few months from now. If you really want to experiment with Win10 - make it a dual boot with some known stable version of windows. :whistling:

I wiped out my Hard Drive that had WIN 7 on it and installed the WIN 10 Technical Preview on it so I don't believe that I'm loading it over WIN 7. (my Dad is also running the WIN 10 Technical Preview and he plays Skyrim too and started modding it and he is using SKSE fine. Just some more info so it must be a problem with mine.)
