prandiningrat
I would suggest that you buy MSI motherboard. MSI usualy skimp on a few things like if you want sound going down your HDMI (I know you don't) then you can expect to be disapointed because they may not place the interface for that on the motherboard and you'll have trouble even hooking that kind of thing up anyway if you dont know what youre doing, you need skills with a multimeter to do that since they dont tell you which way the 2 pin goes on. Silly IKR :down:I know that you never tested MSI the only thing 'i've heard'. What is MSI Motherboard that skimp at HDMI?i had skills if needed to working with multimeter check pin to pin than posted to this damn thread.I attach benchmark result in 2008 still using X48 chipset for an example i posted above. The only i could suggest when building the new computers, high performance, best price and stable.that's it.If you pretentious people buy ASUS MAXIMUS III EXTREME. I'm sorry for my newbie and bad english too.

Deleted631007User
If you dont have onboard 8 channel sound then you can pick a sound card up for $30You dont actualy need a fancy sound card unless you have fancy speakers and fancy speakers are any speakers that cost more than $200 which is overkill when you can get logitech ones for <$100 which are greatI'll be hooking this into my TV via HDMI cable. Under the circumstances I'm not exactly sure what to do about the sound system. I have considered buying new speakers for the TV. Will that affect anything? I currently own a Maximus III formula, which i bought back in July 20th, I did Some overclocking experiments on it, but it hasn't let me down. I've also had a very good experience from gigabyte, which lasted 6 years for me.I'll check it out. a GTX 580 is Freaking Cool compared to 480, which is also much more freaking noisy. go buy it. Kinda figured that. Didn't look like a major improvement in power over the 480, nor does it have that major of a price difference. But cooling is VERY important to me, though I have more reason to worry than some people. I suppose I might want a case with a glass side panel so I can monitor the build up of dust... and hair.

Yes you do.I'm baaaaaaaack! Thanks for the advice. I've got four cats and one kitten myself. It's a nightmare, the house's air conditioner has nearly broken on me several times just from their hair. But I couldn't live without them... I'm also allergic. :whistling: Ok, in regards to understanding processors. I'm now looking at these, and from what little knowledge I have, I'd say that the AMD is quite a bit better even though it's cheaper. If there's something I'm missing here do tell. The AMDThe Intel The Motherboard? Don't care anymore, so long as it'll fit in my case. I'll just 'eeny meeny miny moe' it or something.

Deleted631007User
Main page updated. This is the latest post and any posts from before this point should be (for the most part) ignored. So here's my new beef. What's with these new processors? Do the integrated graphics take some of the load off of the GPU? The specs don't look any better than the two Extreme processors, but I read at least one review that said it was actually just as good or better for a gaming computer, so are they a better choice? Finally, what's the best looking P67 motherboard so far?
