Kissing Zevran

I'm still new to these forum sites so you'll have to bear with my posting until I manage to figure it all out... thus I'm hoping this post is in the right location.

ANYWAYS

 

To the point, I have been searching for a mod that would allow me to kiss Zevran outside of camp, like the female wardens can do with Alistair and the male wardens can do with Morrigan. I found one... sort of. Dialog Fix (I think it was called) allows such a mechanic but because it also includes so much within the mod its not very compatible with my other preferred dialog mods. Also to note here; when I did attempt to use the mod and removed my other dialog mods... it would glitch... Zevran would turn into Alistair but there was no kissing... it was weird.

 

Sooooo is there any way to make this into a stand-alone mod?

 

I am no modder (maybe someday I may learn the gift *crosses fingers*) so my knowledge on what can be or can't be done is limited, but if this is possible it would be a relief. Otherwise romancing Zevran is utterly boring... *yawn*

The only one I can think of is the Dialogue Tweaks that you mention. Also, over at the Bioware Social Network I noticed there is a Zevran combined romance mod that has begun similar to the Alistair one that has been released and the Leliana one that is in the testing phase. That might be one that will do what you are looking for. It is being done by a different author than the other two, so I am not sure what is planned or how far along it is. I know that the Leliana one will institute a world wide kiss for her as I have been helping with scenes and testing on it, so the only thing I can think right now is to contact the Zevran author and see if he/she is doing something similar.

"Dialogue Tweaks" adds "Kiss him/her" to the dialogue choices outside of Camp (if appropriate based on Approval) for both Zev and Leli. Also adds/fixes lots of other "broken" dialogue issues.

Thank you danscott84 you have been very helpful. I will scope out the project you mentioned, I am eager to see it now. :) And ty Thandal for the suggestion, the addon I was using that allowed the "out-of-camp-kiss" with Zevran was Dialog Tweeks, but it didn't work for me. At least not with Alistair with me anyways. My husband will be pleased to see the Leliana mod as well. ty again! :)

Sorry, I missed that you had already tried "Dialogue Tweaks". Not sure what it messed with that caused you other problems. It's one of the better-behaved mods, for as large as it is.

 

Anyway, I just loaded up an old DA:O save and confirmed that Morri, Big Al, Leli, and Zev are all kissable in Denerim with "DT" installed. (Of course that's only true if they are all already kissable in Camp as well! ;D ) Normally in the vanilla game, only the first two would be.

Polygamy??? lol oooooo another I shall need to look up! lol I have managed to figure out the toolset to edit my spells, talents, skills, and levels, so I'm learning !! lol

I find myself constantly debating whether to use or not use it.

 

One the one hand, I like what each potential LI adds to the story when s/he becomes your partner. Want to experience them all. (Greedy, I know.)

 

On the other, the jealousy banter is absolutely hilarious! [Wades through swamp] :laugh:

 

I usually start a new game with it in place, then disable it once I've figured out "where my heart lies" this time. 'Course once it's off, the ultimatums fly quickly. And just as in RL, people have a way of knowing about these things even if you haven't mentioned it! So no "avoiding the issue." :tongue:

Thandal, if you haven't yet, try romancing Morrigan and Leliana with the Morrigan Dialogue Fix. Their jealousy banter gets REALLY katty. Hilarious moments indeed. :thumbsup:
