i have no clue how to install a mod, and i want to, so could one of you nice people out there give me step-by-step instiuctions, including what program to use?

Follow instructions in the readmes/on the pages.

 

Download your mod of choice.

 

Open the first program.

Choose 'create'.

Enter the name of the mod.

Choose 'Add Archive'.

Find the mod you downloaded and select it.

Choose 'Create OMOD'.

Once it's been sucessfully created click on it in the right hand window and choose activate.

It'll automatically install it for you.

Once it's installed make sure it's checked off in the list in the left hand window.

 

If you wish to manually install a mod instructions come in the readme files of the downloads when you unzip them. Of course make sure you've got 7z or WinRar which I would guess you already do.
