gotchaforce
Well, as I said in the title, the mods I've downloaded (and got working on another character) are not working on a new character. Well, that's not true, I've managed to get two mods to work, but the rest won't add the items to my inventory. I've turned off the mods, loaded the game, saved, turned back on the mods and nothing (that worked last time). I've even tried reinstalling the mods but nothing is working, can someone help me out here.
Thandal
Presuming that you're talking about DA:O, (or at least that if it is DA:A, the mods are designed specifically to work with that...) Ever since 1.04, need to follow these steps to get unoffical items to appear in a new PC's inventory: 1. Uninstall any unofficial item-creation mods ("dazips".) Not just "disable" (unchecking from the "Installed Content" screen), but actually REMOVING them. 2. Create new Character.3. Start new game.4. Save game as soon as possible.5. Exit game.6. Re-install mods removed in Step 1.7. Re-Start game8. Load save created in Step 4.9. Enjoy new items!

Thandal
Will that mess up my other accounts DLC?Won't/Don't TOUCH your DLC. (If, by DLC you mean "BioWare-supplied/purchased stuff, downloaded from their site or supplied on disc, and installed in-game.) You can tell the official items by the little angled "B" symbol in the logo used on the "Installed Content" screen to designate BioWare-published content. (I think it's blue, as well...) The instructions above pertain ONLY to the UNofficial mods that create items.

RustyBlade
1. Uninstall any unofficial item-creation mods ("dazips".) Not just "disable" (unchecking from the "Installed Content" screen), but actually REMOVING them. It is NOT necessary to uninstall those mods. Simply unchecking them (disable) in the downloaded content screen, DAMM or DA Modder is sufficient. If I had to uninstall and reinstall everything every time I started a game it would be in the recycle bin and the disks would be in the trash. I put up with that nonsense for Witch Hunt and I will be damned if I will do it again.

(I had thought that the OP said this had already been tried... "I've turned off the mods, loaded the game, saved, turned back on the mods and nothing") As another poster is seeing with a ".override" file, when pieces of mods get left in the wrong places strange stuff happens (and it's seldom good!) (Or is it possible that the OP didn't remember to turn-off the mods BEFORE creating the new PC? There's a possibility...)

(I had thought that the OP said this had already been tried... "I've turned off the mods, loaded the game, saved, turned back on the mods and nothing") It was unclear if the game was started with the mods active or not. My take on the way it was worded is that the game was started, the mods didn't show, mods were uninstalled and reinstalled and were a no-show, which is exactly what will happen if you do it that way. OP did not say he uninstalled or disabled prior to starting that new character and that is what I based my statement on. As another poster is seeing with a ".override" file, when pieces of mods get left in the wrong places strange stuff happens (and it's seldom good!) It is not just overrides that leave things behind. Many dazips do also so it is always best to keep an idea of what mods install what to where so that you have some kind of idea what to do when you need to get rid of it. There is one mod out there that puts things in three different places (I forget which one) and if you don't get rid of it all you have problems.
