stg58fal
Yes, I realize that sounds kind of strange. I had the GECK once before. Played a bit, followed the tutorials on the Bethesda website, but never really got into modding, lost interest in FO3 on PC, had a ton of other things eating up my time, yadda yadda. Then I was shown this site, and fun ensued. So I thought that I'd like to try my hand at modding at some point. I download the GECK (scrapped it when I removed FO3 from my system after mod issues) from the Bethsoft site, extract it to the folder that Fallout is in (Bethesda is the folder's name, in this case), click the Setup GECK .exe......and Fallout 3 launches. I do not remember it doing this before when I had the GECK. I figure it's some really basic thing that I'm overlooking somehow, cuz that's how my brain is working lately. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Miss Sparkle
It gets installed into the Fallout 3 folder :) C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3 (if on windows xp). Try that and see if it works for you :)
Amzer352
It gets installed into the Fallout 3 folder :) C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3 (if on windows xp). Try that and see if it works for you :) That just won't work for me, since I have the steam version. That file directory does not show up. It's telling me, repeatedly, that the file "libvorbisfile.dll" is not in the same folder as the GECK launcher, and it is. Why is that?
