Ferryt
Beginning today the file section suddenly quit working. When attempting to access the description of a mod I now get a white page with black text. All the text is there but all the previous formatting is gone. Attempting to access the actual file pages results in much the same appearance and clicking on the files, themselves, to download them leads to to a white page stating "File does not exist ", although the URL bar displays the url properly. Similarly, with the images pages they have no formatting, although clicking on an image will enlarge it as usual. The comments pages are screwed up with dark grey text blocks and black text, but some formatting is getting through. The forums section of TESNexus doesn't seem to have been affected and the home page looks like it always has, as well. I have not changed my Firefox installation since its last update and I think the files section was working at that time. I have verified that this is a problem with Firefox since Google Chrome works perfectly. It appears that Firefox is no longer picking up on the CSS that controls the appearance of these pages. While there's a chance that this might be a problem on my end, I'd like to know before I go through the trouble of re-installing Firefox and all my add-ons, just in case someone has tweaked this site in some way and broken Firefox compatibility with it. Ferryt
Never mind. I solved the problem when I started digging through my add-ons, but just a heads up for anyone using Firefox. NoScript was the culprit, here. This problem was, apparently, caused by the latest NoScript update. I did NOT disable scripts for TESNexus, but NoScript was blocking them, anyway -- or at least some of them, since I was still getting some formatting in some places. Disabling and then re-enabling NoScript seems to have cleared this up. Very curious ... and very annoying, but a happy ending, anyway, since the only reason I ever use Google Chrome is because I dislike it less than I detest Internet Explorer. buddah
That is a well known issue, as the site relies heavily on java for navigation....no scripts locks it out. Buddah
