Aendri
Is there any way to open/utilize an .omod file without OBMM? I'm not a fan of it, and I want to avoid using it if possible, but several of the mods I've been looking at (body replacers, for the most part) are only available in an ,omod format, for one reason or another. What I'm getting at is whether or not I can use another archive utility to open them up and pull out the files, or will that mess the data up. I've looked around a bit, but the only info I've found on the subject was about people having issues with OBMM running mods and such things, nothing on possible work-arounds. phforNZ
OMOD is an archive container used by OBMM. Basically a .7z archive with a couple of extras attached. You'll have to use it unfortunately.
Aendri
Is there any possibility I could open it and convert it, or something? I have a laptop I could do that on, if possible, but I really dislike having OBMM hooked up to my game. I like as much control over modified files as I can get, for safety's sake. ArmeniusLOD
You can convert it to a 7-zip archive, but you still need OBMM for that. Right-click on the .omod in OBMM and click on "Convert to archive." It annoys me when this happens as well. I use BAIN to manage my mods and it's annoying to have to parse the OMOD script to convert it to a BAIN package.

Aendri
What if none of the mods show up in the right hand window, even if I go in and load them specifically?
ArmeniusLOD
You have to set the directory where your OMODs are located in OBMM. Double-click the OMOD from explorer instead of opening OBMM first. This will add them to the mod list.
