faffman Posted December 23, 2014 Share Posted December 23, 2014 So with almost every character I make, I want to at least have the Unrelenting Force shout, meaning I have to do everything up to where I go back to the Greybeards after going through Ustengrav and talk to Delphine. It's gotten old by now, to be sure. What I suggest is to place some convenient doorways that get you to the quest destination quickly. There will be quite a few, but it shouldn't be hard if you've done modding for a while. I'd like doorways in these places, with the ability to go from both places to the other: Riverwood (somewhere always accessible) - The word room in Bleak Falls Barrow (you'll still have to fight the Draugr boss, but going through this doorway will not start The Golden Claw quest)Dragonsreach - High HrothgarHigh Hrothgar - the altar room in UstengravThe altar room in Ustengrav - Riverwood (somewhere always accessible)Riverwood (Delphine's secret room) - High Hrothgar You can add more doorways if you want of course, I've excluded doorways that require you cross Skyrim's outdoors, because I'm fine with doing that (except for going up to High Hrothgar). And, of course, you should always have the option to do the quest as usual if you want to without this mod breaking anything. I for one would like to do Bleak Falls Barrow despite how much I've done it, because it's good leveling for low level characters. Some people might want to do Ustengrav as well, possibly for getting the Become Ethereal word. For that one though, you could just add another doorway between the altar room and the word wall. I want the important quest stages to remain as they are, so as to not break anything in the game, so no setstage commands. I will recieve the Greybeards' lessons and greetings over again, I will listen to Balgruuf's explanation of the Dragonborn, etc. I know of the coc [cell name] command, but you don't nescessarily end up where you want to with that. This mod is to save questing time in the long run. What I'm hoping to skip past is the tedious traveling up High Hrothgar, and delving through Ustengrav, primarily, as I'm most tired of those. I don't mind fighting the first dragon, I don't mind going across Skyrim's plains and fields to get where I need to, it's just those two things for me. I added in the Bleak Falls Barrow doorway in the request because some people would want to skip past that, and don't really care about The Golden Claw. And even if you use the doorway, you can of course come back to BFB to complete it if you want. So yeah, it's just a mod for convenience. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ltknight88 Posted December 25, 2014 Share Posted December 25, 2014 I like this idea. For a short term, quick fix you could use the consul to Player.add shout X. Then if you want to play that quest labret you could Player.remove shout X. So it doesn't screw up the quest. I'd love a short cut to an already upgraded Thieves guild Ragged Flaggon.
