rayjames06
Hello, is there a way to disable the warning box and message that appears when loading a save with a missing mod?? "This save relies on content that is no longer present"
Acetoolguy
Not sure there is, but I have only seen it come up the first time I load the save and never again. Unless I delete another mod. Are you seeing it every time you load a save?
rayjames06
Yeah I turn multiple mods on and off a lot such as armor or weapons, but I'll use the same save file so its just annoying seeing that box. Wish there was a way to get rid of it.
cdcooley
That message is there as a warning that you are about to create a corrupted game. With very few exceptions, removing mods and continuing to play will leave little bits of the mod in place. Even reinstalling the same mod later doesn't connect up those bits, it just creates new ones. In most cases the things left behind simply bloat your savegame files without doing much damage, but it's still not a good practice. If scripts are involved (which could be scripts from other mods interacting with things from the mod you removed) then more serious problems may occur. If you want a stable game, stop removing mods unless you are willing to start over (or at least go back to a save before you added the mods you are removing). rayjames06
So there is no way to get rid of that box with all the ways and methods to customize Skyrim? One invincible warning box to rule them all?
DavinaJo
Sure there is GET MO create several Character Profiles and install the mods you want to try, add mods to each charcter then play each charcter and that will give you an idea what each mod is like without you have to install and reinstall mods so you never get that pop up. Example say you want to try body mods UNP and CBBE you create two profiles and check the box next to unp for profile 1 then switch to the second profile and check the box next to CBBE (this is a very simplistic example, but you could do this with a lot of mods and you don't have to worry about warning popup (unless you change mods with in the profile)) oh there is a bit of a learning curve with MO but once you use it You'll probably won't want to go back to NMM the other option is to use a Save manager and create your charcters , drawback to this is that you have to have a document file created for each character with their mod loadorder written up so you know which mods to change for each character.
