Russki Bear
This may have been asked - but why so many Daedric ruins in Vvardenfell and none in Cyrodiil? Any ideas?

I guess 'cause... uhhhh... 'cause... uhhhh... they... would be... uhhh... well, maybe Daedra worship wasn't all that popular in Cyrodiil, while popular in other provinces... I think.

I think. I always thought there was some deeper connection between the Daedra and the Dunmer. But Cryo is probably half-right for a change. There hasn't been much time for followers to build temples since Daedric worship was taboo by imperial rule, and was probably looked down upon durring the times of the alyieds. Any temples that did get built were probably quickly destroyed. Regardless, they were probably done in an architectural style similar to alyieds (look at Mankar's little temple), so would be easily confused. The ones on Morrowind were more distinct because the entire country is more distinct.
Russki Bear
OK, that works for me, because you are right (and I knew that myself) that the Dunmer used to primarily worship the Daedra before the Tribunal came about. The Ayleid were perhaps more sophisticated and knew more about the Daedra or didn't beleive in them.... Fair enough.
Marxist ßastard
The Ayleids absolutely worshipped the Daedra, and Ayleid ruins probably served as shrines of Daedric worship at one point in time --- especially looking at how conjurers just love the sites even up to the present day. It's just that the Ayleids had the architectural and masonry experience to build suitable shrines --- and thus, were able to incorporate said shrines into their own architecture --- while the early Chimer didn't, and had to plead with the Daedra for assistance, resulting in the... unique... style associated with Daedric ruins in Morrowind. The absence of elaborate Daedric shrines constructed after the Ayleids were conquered is explained away quite easily by reactionism on the part of narrow-minded Betmer goons. These goons, given a thousand years or so with the Ayleid ruins, would also have had an easy time looting or destroying anything in the ruins obviously related to Daedric summonings. Russki Bear
Okay, that works for me too. Fair enough, again!
sleaaels
Well for someone to make daedric ruins, it wouldn't be too difficult since most of the skins are there already. I don't know, give me an oblivion gate any day.

m3lisk
I second Marxist's reply, because even though there are no Daedric Ruins, the Ayelid one's are more bennificial to the player, seeing as the Ayelid stones are worth a decent a mount. Plus I've ran across ruins with similar characteristics as the old dadric ruins, just instead of Daedra, you bandits, maruaders, etc. Oh, and there is the necromancer and Mythic Dawn shrines, which is sorta like Daedric worshipers...
